Errol Spence, Jr. Earns Split Decision Win Over Shawn Porter To Unify Welterweight Titles
BEAUTY UNLIMITED
MONICA
This week’s Beauty Unlimited feature is Monica. Monica is con- stantly looking for opportunities and excels at conquering all chal- lenges and we only wish we had captured her sooner. This young lady is most assuredly to appear again as a special feature. There’s no doubt Monica will become a household name, so remember you saw her as our Beauty Unlimited feature.
Unable to dictate the fight on his own terms, Errol Spence, Jr. was forced to beat the rugged Shawn Porter at what he does best in Saturday's welterweight unification pay-per-view bout.
Spence (26-0, 21 KOs) scored a pivotal knockdown in Round 11 and hung on for a split-decision win in a fight- of-the-year candidate in front of 16,072 fans at the Staples Center.
Spence took home a pair of 116-111 scorecards while the
Shannon Sharpe Gets New Contract To Remain With Fox Sports, Skip Bayless
SHANNON SHARPE
Shannon Sharpe's con- tract expired in July, but he kept coming to work while hammering out his future with Fox Sports.
Now, after three months of that purgatory, a deal has been reached.
Sharpe has signed a multi- year extension to remain as Skip Bayless' opponent on Undisputed. The 51-year-old is an important and perhaps un- derrated cog in the FS1 ma- chine and losing him would have been a blow. FOS identi- fied Cris Carter as a possible replacement for Sharpe had things not worked out, but that would have left a pretty big hole on First Things First.
Say what you want about any two-hander that features Bayless, Sharpe has proven to be an excellent counterpoint across the table. It's extremely easy to get steamrolled from that chair, but the former tight end has acquitted himself quite nicely as an equal.

fourth defense of his IBF title, captured the WBC belt from Porter (30-3-1, 17 KOs) de- spite having trouble through- out with his opponent's mauling and frenetic style.
Although the 29-year-old Spence was unable to prop- erly discipline Porter to pre- vent him from closing distance, he was able to dig in and land the bigger shots to create separation in the closer rounds. Spence outlanded Porter by a margin of 221 to 172, according to CompuBox.

Odell Beckham Upset He
Lost Earring In Altercation
With Marlon Humphrey
Odell Beckham, Jr. and Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey got into a scuffle on Sunday during which Humphrey appeared to grab Beckham by the throat, but the star wide re- ceiver is less concerned about that and more worried about the jewelry he lost.
Beckham was asked about the exchange after the game, and he said the only thing he is “upset” about is los- ing an earring during the skir- mish.
