RAY WILLIAMS
MS. BRENDA JOYCE DANIELS
Ms. Brenda Joyce Daniels of Tampa, passed away Mon- day, March 14, 2016.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 26 at 11 a. m. at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, with Reverend T. D. Leonard, pas- tor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Brenda Joyce Daniels was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, born to Azerene Daniels and Doreatha Scott.
She retired from the School District of Hillsbor- ough County after serving 24 years as a Paraprofessional at Meacham Early Childhood and Lavoy Exceptional Cen- ter.
Brenda’s passion for help- ing others motivated her to volunteer countless hours in the Foster Grandparents Program of Hillsborough County and the Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay Inc.
She was a member of the National Red Hat Society local chapter and The Triple D’s (Dazzling, Daring Divas).
She joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. C. P. Epps and remained there until her health began to fail.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Azerene Daniels and Doreatha Scott; and her son, Eric Daniels.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and de- voted daughter, Tara Harris- Scott; son, Troy Daniels; 3 sisters, Cassandra Fuller, Eura L. Robinson of Tampa, and Gale Gulley (Loyace) of Largo, FL; 2 brothers, Alfred Daniels (Ruthie) of Pasco, FL, and Andrew Daniels (Mary Ann) of Wilmington, NC; step-sister, Beatrice Har- vey; step-brother, Thomas Harvey (Laletricia); grand- children, Roosevelt Scott, III and Tara Scott; devoted friends, Betty Wilson, Alice and Anita Green; her loving pet, “Sweet Pea;” and a host of niece, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m., Friday, March 25 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Av- enue.

MRS. MARY A. HIGHTOWER
Mrs. Mary A. Hightower of Tampa, passed away Mon- day, March 21, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 26,2016,at2p.m.atRay Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Reverend Eddie Gilbert, offi- ciating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Mary A. Hightower was a lifelong resident of Tampa. She was a graduate of Middleton High School, Class of 1949, and also at- tended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
Mrs. Hightower was a member of Mount Zion A. M. E. Church. She was em- ployed and retired from the Marriott Hotel Westshore.
Mrs. Hightower loved her family dearly and always had a smile on her face. She also loved to travel and see new things and was a seamstress for many years.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Elizabeth Tolliver-Randolph; niece, Sharon Tolliver-Raiford and nephew, Derrick E. Law.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and de- voted brothers, Deacon Charlie Tolliver (Ethel), and William Randolph (Shirley), caring and loving sisters, Clara Boone of Avon Park, FL, and Juanita Roberts (Clifford) of Clearwater, FL; four nephews, Charlie Devan Tolliver (Brittnie), Maceo S. Walker, Edwin Boone (Betsy), and Carey Law; two nieces, Padrika Sheppard (Kevin), and Terrika Law- Howard (Malio); sister-in- law, Earline Randolph; special friends, the Hyde Park Community, Latasha Thomas, Reverend Oscar Johnson, Billy Reid, Charlie White, Oscar Hill and Ruther Mae Harper; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.

Mrs. Dora Lee Reeder of Tampa, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 26,2016at11a.m.atSt. James House of Prayer Epis- copal Church, 2708 N. Cen- tral Ave., with Reverend Ernestine C. Flemister, offi- ciating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mrs. Dora Reeder was a lifelong native and resident of Tampa. She lived to be 100 years old.
Mrs. Reeder was a gradu- ate of Bethune-Cookman University,TuskegeeUniver- sity and Florida A&M Univer- sity.
She was a faithful member of St. James House of Prayer Episcopal Church where she served on the Vestry and was a choir member.
She also served on the Board of Directors for the Hillsborough County Public Libraries and the W. E. D. U. Public Television for many years.
Mrs. Reeder was an Edu- cator and School Adminis- trator for the School District of Hillsborough County, where she served as an Ele- mentary School Principal for Dunbar Elementary School for 24 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Robert Reeder and wife, Jacquelyn; daughter, Dorothy Baker and husband, Syerenees; grand- children, Angela Reeder (who was her caregiver), Sabrina Floyd and husband, Greg of Miami, FL, Katrina Rolle and husband, Gary of Tallahassee, FL, Yolanda Marshall and husband, Meredith of Alpine, NJ, Tonya Baker-Turner and husband, Delon of Miami, FL, and Yashica Jordan of Tampa; nephew, Robert Chinn of Miami, FL; cousin, Melvin Barnes and wife, Mable of Sanford, FL; a host of great grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

DEACON FREDERICK JAMES SHORT
Deacon Frederick James Short of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 26, 2016, at 11 a. m. at Word of Grace and Truth Min- istries, 3001 E. Hanna Av- enue, Dr. Thomas L. Dozier, pastor, with Rev- erend Jerome Griffin, Pas- tor of Evening Star Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Frederick Short was a native of Richland, Georgia, and a resident of Tampa for many years.
He retired from Airliner Delivery Service.
Deacon Short was a faithful, active member at Evening Star Tabernacle M. B. Church, where he served as a deacon and a member of the male chorus.
He was a representative with the Longshoreman’s Association.
He was also the founder of the Churches & Deacons Association of Tampa Bay, a group that has come to the aid of needy families for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ran- dall and Annie Lee Short; and he was "the last man standing" after a host of de- ceased sisters and broth- ers, Roberta Kennard, Daisy Reed, Rhoda Silva, Gladys Smith, Iverson Short, Weldon Short, Timo- thy Short, Tommie Short, Frank Short and Edward Short; mother-in-law, Emma Lester; and broth- ers-in-law, Ed Felton and Johnny B. Felton.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and de- voted wife, Marilyn Short; children, Fred Short, Jr., Dr. Theresa Lewis and De- Andre Law (devoted nephew); sisters-in-law, Adella Short, Hilda Short, Willie Mae Jaudon, Nellie Sheppard, Johnnie Mae Collins (Tony), Iradene Burch, and Carolyn Amaker (affectionately called by him as “Catfish”); brother-in-law, Henry Fel- ton; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and very devoted friends.
The remains will repose from 5-8 p. m., Friday, March 25, at St. John Cathedral Church, 3401 E. 25th Avenue, and the fam- ily will receive friends from 6-7 p. m.

Mr. Johniell Underwood of Tampa, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016.

Mr. Johniell Underwood was a native of Americus, Georgia, and a resident of Tampa for many years.
He was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School and was a member of The General Assembly Church of the Firstborn.
Mr. Underwood was em- ployed by Aircraft Services, Tampa Airport as a Skycap for many years.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Henry Under- wood; and sisters, Mable Jones and Barbara Gainous.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Ruby Un- derwood; his mother, Daisy Lusane Underwood of Ocala, FL; two daughters, Lorraine Davis (Kafiti), and Karysa Underwood, both of Atlanta, GA; five sons, Keith Williams of Miami, FL, Tony Under- wood of Tampa, and step- sons, Emmitt Kidd, Tony Kidd and Derrick Kidd, all of Tampa; sister, Beverly Fen- nell of Linden, NJ; two brothers, Cornell Under- wood of Atlanta, GA, and Ralph Underwood of Tampa; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
The remains will repose from 4-7 p. m., Saturday, March 26 at Ray Williams Funeral Home.
