3rd Annual Organ Transplant Recipient Picnic Planned
Members of the community who have received an organ transplant.
On Saturday, March 24th, members of the community will come together for the 3rd Annual Organ Transplant Recipient Picnic. It will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at the Oscar Scherer State Park, 1843 South Tamiami Trail, Osprey, Florida.
The purpose of the picnic is to bring transplant recipients, patients waiting on a transplant, their caregivers, and their families together. During the picnic, they will share their respective journeys and to honor donors for a second chance.
The picnic is open to transplant recipients, patients waiting on a transplant, their caregivers, and their families. The event is a potluck picnic. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a small side dish, a dessert, veggie tray, or snacks by each family participating. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided.
