Local Album Release Party Planned For Tampa Native

This week’s Spotlight feature is Lorena, and she is as daring and challenging as she appears on her photo. Lorena wants to push the boundaries of tolerance and demand her place among the elite in the fashion industry. Lorena is very comfortable in front of the camera, and has a burning desire to be successful. She also is very motivated, and focused on what she wants and how to get it. Congratulations to Lorena as this week’s Spotlight feature.

This weekend, enter- tainer Boi Durty will at- tend a party. And, he has much to celebrate.
His newly released, “Apply Pressure” CD has been released and is doing well. The party will take place in Atlanta. Durty said, “We released it on March 16th and it is really doing well. We recently added about 2,500 radio stations to the list that are playing it.
Durty, who is the pro- tégé of the late Chris Wong Won, co-founder of Two Live Crew and Brother Marquis, of Two Live Crew. He launched his ca- reer in the 1990s.
Since stepping into the world of music, Durty has created two labels, “Bad Az Music” and “Block Run- ners.” He later merged the two labels to become Block Runners Entertainment.

livered his debut album, “Smoke One.” That was followed by “Ya Didn’t C It Coming.”
Now, the young Tampa native is traveling through- out the southeast promoting “Apply Pressure.”
He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County and graduated from Hillsborough High School.
He continued his educa- tion at Florida A & M Uni-
versity, where he majored in Electronic Engineering.
When asked how that field led him to music, he laughed and said, “It’s just the way things worked out.”
Now, Durty is inviting members of the community to pick up a copy of “Apply Pressure” and see just what the raving is all about.
He said it can be found in stores as well as iTUNES and Spotify.
