Too Smooth’s 21st Annual Birthday Bash Kicks Off 3-Day Weekend Celebration
Tampa’s local promoter, Too Smooth, will be celebrating his 21st Annual Birthday Bash on Friday, April 6th. The birthday bash will kick off a 3-day weekend celebration of Hip Hop, Comedy and Southern Soul.
Friday, the legendary Hip Hop Artist, Chubb Rock will appear at the Bounce Boy Fun Factory. When you think of hip-hop, the artists from the nineties era, whose music instantly gets the crowd to the dance floor - Chubb Rock!
“Nineteen ninety Chubb Rock jumps up on the scene with a lean and a pocket full of green...” with his 1990 hit, “Treat ‘Em Right” to this day stimulates a great response from his audiences around the world.
Born Richard Simpson on May 28, 1968, Jamaica, West Indies, this former National Merit Scholar bounced onto the hip hop/rhythm & blues scene after dropping out of college. Since that time Chubb has gone on to create other chart topping hits including “Caught Up,”

“Just the Two of Us” and “Ya Bad Chubbs.”
Chubb Rock is featured in the new single “Summertime Anthem” with R&B artist, Eric Roberson. Chubb Rock’s performances have been proclaimed as the highlight of the evening and he always makes you move with an old school groove.
A comedy show will be held on Saturday, April 7th, featuring J. An- thony Brown and Friends at the St. Petersburg Palladium Theatre.
Sunday, the 3rd Annual Smooth Breeze Music Festival will be held at the Waterworks Park featuring Southern Soul Artists, The King of Soul, Sir Charles Jones, Prince of Soul, Calvin Richardson and The Boss, Wendell B.
