SNL Ratings Go Up For Tracey Morgan’s Return
Tracy Morgan made his first TV gig since his accident Sat- urday on Saturday Night Live (SNL).
Saturday Night Live, with host Tracy Morgan in his first TV acting gig since last year’s truck accident, and mu- sical guest Demi Lovato logged a 4.2 household rating in metered-market households and a 2.0 rating in adults 18-49.

Janet Jackson has found herself in the no. 1 spot for the seventh time in her career. Her first release in seven years, Unbreakable, has re- portedly landed atop the Bill- board 200 chart with 116,000 equivalent units in its first week.
Unbreakable was also her first album released via an in- dependent label, which was her own Rhythm Nation label. The project is no. 1 on the In- dependent Albums chart as well. "So happy I was able to share an amazing day with my sons, brother and friends," Phae- dra wrote about the experi- ence on Instagram.

Back in September it was leaked that the couple got married, however, Ne-Yo quickly cleared the rumor up. He stated that the couple was engaged, and were expecting a baby.

New York and New Jersey are about to join forces. The Bronx’s French Montana and NJ’s Fetty Wap are re- portedly working on a joint mixtape.
French’s brother Zack told Revolt that the project is com- ing. The Coke Boys represen- tative announced the two East Coast performers recorded tracks during Chris Brown’s “One Hell Of A Nite” tour.
Fetty has had a breakout year. His singles have set Bill- board chart records and his self-titled debut album opened at number one. French re- leased his Casino Life 2: Brown Bag Legend mixtape in May.
A few months ago, Chris Brown revealed he planned on naming his upcoming album after his 1-year-old daughter Royalty. Now he’s revealed the album cover on Instagram.

Essence Music Fest Headed To South Africa
President Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a White House event Wednesday (Oct. 14) that celebrated the arts and featured performances from Queen Latifah, Usher and more, Billboard reports.
The “In Performance at the White House” installment, which will air on PBS in Janu- ary 2016, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of legislation that created the National En-
dowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Other performers include singer and actress Audra Macdonald, James Taylor, Smokey Robinson and Trombone Shorty.
Before the performances, the FLOTUS hosted a student workshop with help from MC Lyte, Esperanza Spalding, Keb Mo’ and Robinson.
New Orleans has been the home of the Essence Music Festival for over 20 years, time to venture to another conti- nent!
For the next two years, 2016 and 2017, the popular music festival will be held in Durban, South Africa. Essence has partnered with the eThekwini Municipality to hold the fun on the motherland. Michelle Ebanks and eThekwini Mayor James Nxumalo made the announcement at Durban City Hall.
