Evangelist Patrick Ed- wards and wife, Kathy Ed- wards, Hebrew Israelites from the Tribe of Judah.
As we look back into the dispensation, we cherish the times together with Bishop H. L. Simpson and his family. He was a true messenger of God (Yeshua).
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you Pastors ac- cording to my heart which shall feed you with knowl- edge and understanding. Bishop H. L. Simpson taught us how to live Holy (Romans 12:1-3), (Gala- tians 5:15-16), (2 Peter 2:4), (1 Corinthians 15:51-

Those who sat under
the teaching of Bishop H. L. Simpson, if they are lost in hell it’s because they did not become a doer of the word, (James 1:22-25).

Mom Of Slain Man:
‘Violence Has To Stop’
BY IRIS B. HOLTON Sentinel City Editor
On Saturday, January 9, the family of Warren Donnell Mitchell, Sr., will remember him and celebrate his birthday. Mitchell would have turned 42-years-old.
Mitchell died on August 1, 2004, as a result of a gunshot wound. Now, his mother, Ms. Wanda Conaway is asking help from the community and asking that the violence comes to an end.
Ms. Conaway said, “Al- most 17 years have passed and my son’s case has not been closed. Someone in the commu- nity knows who is responsible for his death. I’m begging the public. I want to know who is responsible and why he was killed.
“Every time I pick up the newspaper, I see where some- one else’s child has been killed. This ‘no snitching rule’ in the community has to stop.”
Mitchell was fatally injured by gunfire around 9 p. m., on August 1, 2004. He was in the area of Columbus Drive and MacDill Street when he was in- jured by gunfire. After being shot while he sat in his vehicle, he drove a short distance.
The then 25-year-old father contacted a Tampa Police offi- cer and informed him that he (Mitchell) had been shot. Mitchell was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he died as a result of his in- juries.
Each year, his family re-

members him and their loss. At the time of his death, Mitchell’s son, Warren, Jr., was 4-years-old. His son will turn 21 next month.
Ms. Conaway has not been in contact with the Tampa Po- lice lately because of the pan- demic. However, she plans to meet with them as soon as pos- sible. Like so many other mur- ders of young Black men, the case has grown cold because of a lack of information.
She continues to wait for news from law enforcement that a suspect in the case has been identified and taken into custody. Ms. Conaway said she waits for the day that her son’s case is placed in the “cases solved,” category as opposed to remaining in the “Cold Case” file.
Anyone with information about the murder can remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS; or online at www.crimestoppers.com.
Anyone with information about the murder may be eligi- ble for a reward of up to $5,000.
