   Woman Injured After Truck Slams Into House
  This home in the 5400 block of 38th Avenue, North was struc- turally damaged after a truck slammed into it.
 The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a traffic accident that left a woman injured. The incident happened Monday night.
According to police, Ms. Ashley Zurla, 38, was in- side the home in the 5400 block of 38th Avenue, North, around 7:30 p.m. when the accident occurred.
Ms. Zurla told police she was in bed when the pickup
truck crashed into the home. She was injured and trans- ported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She was listed in stable con- dition. Police said children were in the home at the time of the accident, but were not injured.
Police identified the driver as Samuel Anderson, 44, and he was charged with careless driving.

 The man who shoot 28- year-old Markeis Mc- Glockton in front of his girlfriend and 5-year-old son is speaking out for the first time.
Now awaiting trial in a Clearwater jail, Michael Drejka, 47, says he fol- lowed Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” Law after Mc- Glockton pushed him to the ground while he was arguing with McGlockton’s girl- friend over a handicapped parking spot.
According to ABC, Drejka said, “It felt like I was tackled or someone hit me from behind with some- thing.”
Drejka says he was en- raged when McGlockton parked in a handicapped spot at a Florida gas station.
“My whole life it’s always been looking for a handicap parking spot. It’s always

touched a nerve with me... because they’re abused and used,” Drejka said.
He also said, “I followed the law the way I thought the law was supposed to be fol- lowed. I cleared every hurdle that that law had to...had to put in front of me.” He added, “I’ve never been con- fronted like that.”

attorney Michele Rayner said, “Michael Drejka is nothing more to me than a vigilante. He’s nothing more than a wannabe cop that is out here patrolling. Markeis McGlockton was a father. He was a son. He was shot down in front of his child. He collapsed and died in front of his child over a parking spot.”
