MRS. ANNIE VIVIAN SOLOMON
Mrs. Annie Vivian Solomon of Tampa, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 30 at 11 a. m. at New Rising Star M. B. Church, 1509 E. North- bay Street, with Pastor Otis B. Cooper, II, officiating. In- terment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Solomon was a native of Tampa, and she was edu- cated in the public schools of San Antonio, Texas, and Hillsborough County.
Mrs. Solomon was a mem- ber of New Rising Star M. B. Church and a member of the NRS. No.1 Choir.
Her hobbies were fishing, cooking, and working with the youth baseball and soft- ball league, The Yellow Jack- ets of West Tampa.
She was preceded in death: by her parents, William Walker and Evelyn Hysaw Lofton; step-mother, Martha Walker; step-father, Aubrey Lofton; step-brother, Cornelius Williams; grand- mother, Easter Walker; fa- ther-in-law, Hartwell Solomon; mother-in-law, Rubelia M. Solomon; broth- ers-in-law, Willie Solomon, Sr., Jimmie Lee Solomon, Sr., Emory Solomon and Leon Solomon; and aunt, Juanita Nelson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: devoted husband of 52 years, Mr. Arthur L. Solomon, Sr.; 5 children, Eve- lyn M. Solomon, Ruby A. Shannon (Gene), Annie D. Patrick (Homer T), Arthur L. Solomon Jr. (Shemika), and Evelyn Hysaw Brown; grand- children, Alishia and Jamyria Crawley, Kenyon, Damarcus, Jacquez, Brianna Solomon, Zariya Patrick, Edward Brown, Jr. and Elonzo Brown; great grandchild, Aubrey Al- icea Gamble; step great grand- children, Arnez and Saphania Gamble; sisters, Janice Solomon, Gloria Smith and Judy Gillette; sister-in-law, Bernice Solomon Watts (Willie); brothers, Kenneth Lofton, James Earl Williams (June), John Williams (Ver- nell), Floyd Williams (Patsy) and Robert Williams; aunt, Minnie Pearl Nippier; devoted friend and loved one, Jacque- lyn Duncan and Antwan Gam- ble; and a host of nieces and nephews, other loving rela- tives and friends.

MISS WANDA S. CARLTON
Miss Wanda Shelia Carl- ton concluded her life on Thursday, April 21, 2016 in Tampa, where she resided for over 40 years.
She was born in Bartow, FL, on July 9, 1959, to the late Santos Oliver and Mable Lee Carlton.
Miss Wanda grew up in Fort Meade, FL, where she graduated from Fort Meade High School in 1977. She later attended Hillsborough Com- munity College in Tampa. Her occupational skills were a licensed EKG technician, legal secretary and was work- ing in Medical Billing at the time she became ill.
She always talked about helping others and practiced this throughout her life. She learned compassion, love, and respect for all of hu- mankind. She served at the New First Union Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, for a number of years. She was a very hard-working and dedi- cated person, who raised two beautiful children, O’Sheaka Jackson and LaDiamond Jackson. She was a mother that never gave up even though she had many hard trials and tribulations.
In the community where she resided, many knew her as a person that always helped those less fortunate than herself. Many came to her door for help, and were welcomed. Miss Wanda was the most kindhearted per- son, always looking for ways to aid and comfort others, most of all her family.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Santos Oliver and Mable Lee Carl- ton; sister, Marcia Flowers; and brother, Darryl Marvin Carlton.
She leaves to mourn: a beautiful, successful daugh- ter, O’Sheaka Jackson of Tampa; a loving son, LaDia- mond Jackson of Tampa; a wonderful and loving god- son, Dwight Raiford of Tampa; three grandchildren, Willie Smith, IV, Wil’Nhila Malphus and Wil’Nhilia Mal- phus, all of Tampa; two sis- ters, Sharon Lowe of Fort Meade, FL, and Lydia Carter of Bartow, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that are certainly mentioned here in giving everyone acknowledgement.

A native of Marianna, FL, Mr. Godwin was born on March 30, 1941 to the parent- age of Isaac Godwin, Sr. and Eva Mae Bell Godwin. He was educated in the public schools of Marianna, FL. He was a Tampa resident for over 65 years. He was united in holy matrimony to Elaine Godwin on December 15, 2007.
Mr. Godwin was the owner of Godwin Roofing Company for over 47 years. He was a member of New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with the family re- ceiving friends from 7-8 p. m.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the church on Sat- urday at approximately 10:45 a. m. for the service.

A celebration of life ser- vice for Mr. Percy “Buddy” Jorden of Wimauma, FL, who passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016, will be con- ducted Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 2 p. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home at 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Elder Donald F. Jorden, Sr., offici- ating, eulogist.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, James and Sammie Lou Jorden; broth- ers, James “Sonny” Albert, Jr. and Charles “Chuck” Jor- den; and sisters, Sammie Lee Stokes and Mary Thomas.
He leaves to cherish mem- ories of him with: wife, Con- stance “Connie” Jorden; children, Marica (Maurice) Adams and Cierra Jorden; and stepson, Gawon “Pedie” Hyman, all of NC; grandchil- dren, Ayden Hall and Mala- nia Adams of NC; two brothers, Robert Lee Jorden (Odessa) of Greenwood, MS, and Johnnie “Mullet” Jor- den of Tampa; four sisters, Wilma Buchanan of Chicago, IL, Betty Crowder of Water Valley, MS, Mamie Spencer of Chicago, IL, and Gertrude (Larry) Sykes of Birming- ham, AL; and a special sister- in-law, Ola Jorden.

Mr. Percy Jorden was born on May 7, 1957 in Coila, MS, to the parentage of James and Sammie Lou Jor- den.
Mr. Jorden was a resident of Wimauma for over 20 years. He worked in the farming and trucking indus- try and was known for his sense of humor, social skills and love for his family and friends, being the baby of eleven siblings.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 29, 2016, from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
