Local Hillsborough County Offices Close For Holiday
Most Hillsborough County offices and facilities will be closed Monday, July 4, in observance of the Inde- pendence Day holiday.
Closed facilities include the administrative offices of County government, all li- braries, recreation centers, Head Start/Early Head Start centers, senior centers, and nutrition sites.
There will be no solid waste collection (including garbage, recyclables, and yard waste) in the unincorpo- rated Hillsborough County Service Area, which also in- cludes Tampa Palms, Hunter’s Green, and New Tampa. For customers whose collection day falls on Mon- day, normal service will re- sume on the next scheduled day for pickup of those items.
Regional parks will be open.
All emergency services will continue without inter- ruption.

All Emergency calls re- garding County water and wastewater service may be directed to (813) 744-5600. The Water Quality Hotline at (813) 264-3835 is answered
24 hours a day.
City Solid Waste Collection Schedule
The City of Tampa offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2016 in observance of the Independence Day holi- day. As a result, customers scheduled for collection serv- ice or, needing access to the McKay Bay Transfer Station on Monday, July 4, 2016 will be affected. The revised hol- iday collection schedule is as follows:
Residential accounts:
There will be no collec- tion on Monday, July 4, 2016. Normal garbage serv- ice will resume on the next scheduled service day (Thursday, July 7, 2016). Re- cycling and yard waste collec- tion will resume on Monday, July 11, 2016.
Commercial ac- counts: There will be no collection on Monday, July 4, 2016.
Roll-off, compactor and
dumpster customers- Collec-
tion will run one day behind for the remainder of the week. Normal service sched- ules will resume on Monday, July 11, 2016.
Curbside cart customers- Service for commercial garbage customers with 95/65 gallon cart service will resume on the next sched- uled service day (Thursday, July 7, 2016). Recycling cart service will resume on Mon- day, July 11, 2016.
All other cart customers- Collection will run one day behind for the remainder of the week. Normal service schedules will resume on Monday, July 11, 2016.
There will be no SWEEP service the week of July 4, 2016. Normal SWEEP schedule will resume on Monday, July 11, 2016.
