Will Smith Playing Bad Guy In New Movie ‘Suicide Squad’
Parliament- Funkadelic Keyboardist Bernie Worrell Has Died
James Earl Jones Returning As Voice Of Darth Vader
Will Smith is playing the bad guy, Deadshot, in Suicide Squad – which is less than two months away. If you weren’t previously familiar with the character, it honestly might not matter anyway because who knows what story line these guys are going to go with. But, just so you aren’t flying blind when you’re in the theater watching everything go down, I got your back.
Deadshot was not a Black man in the comics. Floyd Lawton (aka Deadshot) was originally not the bald-headed Will Smith (in awesome gear) you see above. He was a well dressed mask-wearing white man with pistols and a top hat. And he fought crime instead of committing it. (Then he turned evil and got washed by Bat- man.)
Will Smith plays Deadshot in the movie, ‘Suicide Squad’.
The newer Deadshot is cooler (and more dangerous). The fact that the powers that be are race-bending a character that is usually considered so complex for Suicide Squad is trending. Also, in the DCnU (DC Comics New 52 story line), Deadshot was pretty much the leader of the squad, so I’d wager that you can bet the same to be true for Will Smith’s version.
Suicide Squad will be in theaters on August 5, 2016.

Bernie Worrell died after bout with lung cancer.
Legendary Parliament Funkadelic musician Bernie Worrell has died, aged 72.
The star passed away after a long battle with stage-four lung cancer and the announcement of his death was made on Face- book, Friday, June 24th.
The legend helped pioneer the funk music genre in 1968 when he co-founded iconic band Parliament Funkadelic with fellow musi- cians, George Clinton and bassist Bootsy Collins.
Worrell was a prolific key- board player, who spearheaded the use of modern synthesizers, becoming one of the first musi- cians to use sounds from the Minimoog machine in Parlia- ment Funkadelic’s classic 1978 single “Flash Light.”
Worrell’s contribution to the band’s sound influenced a host of other musical genres, such as New Wave, Hip-Hop and early Electronica.
He was also a regular collab- orator with superstar post- punk band, Talking Heads during the height of their suc- cess in the 1980s.
Worrell was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with 15 other members of Par- liament Funkadelic in 2007.
He was also the recipient of an honorary Doctor of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in May.
James Earl Jones is a leg- end. He is the original voice of the most evil Sith lord to ever exist. There were rumors be- fore about the presence of Vader in the upcoming Rouge One: A Star Wars Story, but it has now been confirmed in an interview with Lucasfilm presi-
dent Kathleen Kennedy her- self. So, it’s definitely legit this time!
This is a huge win for the every nostalgic Star Wars fan of the franchise. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set release on December 16, 2016.

You may know Zaytoven as the master craftsman behind numerous hits from Future, Gucci Mane and Migos.
However, in an interview with Hot New Hip Hop, the super producer is unveiling a lot of stuff that you might not exactly know about him, in- cluding his other job — church musician.
He learned how to play the piano at a young age, learning from organists at church.
Today, Zaytoven is the “res- ident organist” at Life Abun- dantly Christian Church in
The Game is mourning the loss of his foster brother, “Calvin“ who was killed on Fa- ther’s Day, the rapper revealed on Instagram Saturday (June
25). The Game and Calvin ended up in the same group home as children. Calvin was Game’s foster brother for 10 years. For those 10 years they fought side by side every time kids at school joked about the brothers, him being Black and Calvin being Mexican.
They also shared disappoint- ments going back and forth to Children’s court every other month in hopes that the judges would send them back to their mothers, only to both come home disappointed every time.
Game and his siblings were placed in foster care after his fa- ther raped his 11-year-old sister. The story is featured in A&E’s Streets of Compton documen-
Conyers, GA, playing at re- hearsals, bible study, and Sun- day services. He describes similarities between playing at church and making trap music beats.
Despite the distinct differ- ences between his two careers, the producer says people re- spect both aspects of his life.
“From the streets, they look at me a different way just for me being true to who I am. They respect that. It’s not that I have my foot in the streets at all. I’m a family man, I got kids, I’m a church guy.”

It would take years for the Game’s mother, Lynette, to get her children back. He was returned to her custody as a teenager.
