Independence Day: Resurgence- Two decades after the first Independence Day invasion, the planet Earth is faced with another attack by aliens. The crew (Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth,Bill Pullam and Jessie T. Usher) must come up with a plan to stop them. This movie was flat out terrible. I see why Will Smith passed on this awful script. Director Roland Emmerich (Day After Tomorrow) misstepped on this film. Don't waste your money. Trust me. Wait for it on DVD. Made $41M (budget-$165M) - *
Free State Of Jones- As the civil war divides the nation, a Confederate Army deserter Newton Knight (Matthew McConaughey) leads a group of slaves and rebels against the Confederate Army. Based on a true story, Director Gary Ross found out through research that Knight and his wife (who was a slave)(Gugu- Mbatha-Raw) were actually freedom fighters for slaves. This movie is well worth your time for the history lesson. Made $8M (budget-$50M)- ****
The Shallows- Surfer Nancy (Blake Lively) is attacked by a great white shark 200 yards from the shore. She must figure out a way to get off the giant rock in the ocean and get back on land safely. Director Jaume Collet-Serra did a good job with this shark thriller. Must see for action fans. Made $16M (budget- $17M)- ****
Central Intelligence- After being bullied in high school, Bob Stone ( Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson) finds his old school pal Calvin Joyner (Kevin Hart) through facebook. The mild mannered Joyner is lured into the world of international espionage. Surprisingly funny because of Johnson’s goofy acting and Hart’s craziness. Must see for laughs. Made $69M (budget-$50M)- ****
Finding Dory- The friendly-but forgetful Blue Tang fish Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) reunite with Nemo and his father (voiced by Albert Brooks) to find Dory’s family. Disney scores again with this family friendly animation. Still No. 1 at the box office- $286M (budget- N/A)- ****
The Conjuring 2- Based on a true story in 1977, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga) come out of retirement to travel to Enfield, London to save a little girl who starts to show signs of demonic possession. The single mother of four and the Warrens must save them- selves when the spirit goes after them. Definitely, not for kids. This movie was really creepy. If you like scary movies, then this film pushes all the right buttons for a horror film. Made - $86M (budget-$40M)- ****
Warcraft(2016)- In the land of magic, the peaceful world of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as a fearsome race of Orc Warriors (Toby Kebbell, Daniel Wu) invade their kingdom to take over. Led by the king (Dominic Cooper) and a fierce warrior (Travis Fimmel) with a few allies( Paula Patton, Ben Foster, and Ben Schnetzer) must try to defend their land. Can't see how this movie received bad reviews, this movie was off-the-chain action packed. Director Duncan Jones spared no one. Must-see for action /fantasy fans. If you can, check it out in the IMAX/3D theater. Made $44M/foreign-$368M (budget-$160M)- **** and then some.
Now You See Me 2- The fourhorsemen (Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrison, Dave Franco and newcomer Lizzy Caplan) are forcibly recruited by an ruthless tech genius (Daniel Radcliffe) to pull off their most impossible heist, if they want to stay alive. Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine resurface as major players in the heist. Not quiet as good as the first, but it’s worth seeing to check out the magic tricks. A little long 2hrs/10mins. Made $51M (budget-N/A)- ***

Cancer (June 21-July 22) - Your desire for nature is strong. (Yes, this includes hot sex.) But it also means you want to have fun. Your efforts to work might lack discipline but not your efforts to enjoy yourself! If you’re in sports, from here on, your game will improve.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22) -
It’s been hard to get things done at home. It’s like walking on quicksand. Please note: Things that you want to accom- plish at home or within your family will start to roll forward with a strong momentum in the next few days. Finally!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) - It’s been hard to assert yourself. And you have tried. In the next few days, you will see that marks a turning point. From here on, you will express yourself to others with more confidence and clarity. Life will no longer feel like a trainwreck.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) - Because the Sun is at high noon in your chart, people no- tice you. Your concerns are about money, finances, earn- ings and possessions. A strong energy that affects your fi- nances will now start to snow- ball.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) - Since the beginning of April, Mars has been retro- grade. Three months later, Mars stops. (“The cheese stands still.”) As it moves for- ward in the next few days, you will feel energized and ready to go! “Look out world, I’ve got a credit card and I know how to use it.”
Sagittarius (Nov. 22- Dec. 21) - All kinds of behind- the-scenes activity has been going on for the last three months, and it’s been frustrat- ing. Things have been delayed. You’ve been chasing your tail. The good news is that this is ending. From here on, life will pick up momentum with pur- pose, focus and energy. Thank gawd.
Capricorn (Dec. 22- Jan. 19) - Your efforts with groups or classes (or a friend) have been stalled in the water for the last few months. This made you feel powerless and ineffective in social ways. This fuzziness will come to a end. Your ability to direct the efforts of others will become strong.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) - Your ambition has been aroused; however, it’s been willy-nilly. Like herding cats. That’s because Mars was “going backwards” for the last three months. This is over. You will sense this in your ambition and your ability to get ahead. Finally, it’s all systems go! (“Watch my dust.”)
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) - Efforts to explore oppor- tunities in publishing, the media, medicine, the law and higher education have been wishy-washy. Ditto for travel. You will make headway in these areas. This is a welcom- ing, refreshing change! Love it!
Aries (March 21-April 19) - You are focused on as- sets, possessions and your wealth. Or maybe on some- thing you own or your earn- ings. Nevertheless, this is a good day to make a final deci- sion on important issues about shared property, loans, mort- gages and what you owe others.
Taurus (April 20-May 20) - Mars has been sitting op- posite your sign for some time now. This makes you focus on disputes with a friend or part- ner, or it might help you to break through and resolve something. Expect solid results in the near future.
Gemini (May 21-June 20) - Lately, work has been two steps forward and one step back. This is a turning point for you! This feeling of being in a holding pattern will be over in a few days and you will go for- ward with clarity, effort and re- sults! Yeah!
