Four men were arrested last Friday and charged in connec- tion with an organized retail theft ring. The case was inves- tigated by the Office of Statewide Prosecution and the Florida Department of Law En- forcement. The four men are accused of committing the crimes in several Florida coun- ties.
According to the investiga- tion, Lionel Bolden, 24, Quintin Everett, 26, Darren Harrell, 22, and Cedric Sanders, 25, coordinated and conspired to carry out retail thefts from stores along the Florida west coast, spanning from Clearwater to Naples.
The investigation revealed that Everett and Harrell al- legedly committed 10 thefts to- taling more than $35,000 at Champs, Macy’s and Victoria’s Secret stores in Charlotte, Col- lier, Pinellas and Sarasota Counties.
According to the investiga- tion, Sanders took part in at least seven of these thefts, to- taling more than $29,000 and Bolden took part in at least two. During one theft, the de- fendants took more than $8,000 in merchandise from a Macy’s in Clearwater.
The suspects are said to have
always worked in an organized group by having one lookout while the other suspects put merchandise into large Dil- lard’s shopping bags before walking or running out of the stores. During some thefts, one suspect distracted employees while others placed store items in bags.
Everett, Harrell, and Sanders are charged with grand theft of more than $20,000, but less than $100,000, and conspiracy to commit grand theft of more than $20,000, but less than $100,000.
Additionally, Everett, Har- rell, and Bolden are charged with coordinating the activities of others to commit retail theft more than $3,000, and grand theft of more than $300, but less than $5,000.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Of- fice, with the assistance of the Clearwater Police Department, the Naples Police Department, the North Port Police Depart- ment and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, investigated the case.
It will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.

The Interstate Lounge had become a popular gathering spot for both young and old. The lounge, at 9403 North Ne- braska Avenue, had become known as a place to avoid, es- pecially after the death of Walter “JJ” Revear.
The owners changed the name of the business to City Liquors, and closed the lounge, operating only as a package store.
At 10:16 p. m. Tuesday, Tampa Police were called to the package store on a report of a woman lying in the park- ing lot suffering from a gun- shot wound.
When officers arrived, they found 43-year-old Alica Fussell lying next to her car. Officers said they didn’t know if she was arriving or leaving the package store at the time of the shooting.
Police said the shooting does not appear to be random, and a possible suspect has been described as being a Black male, 6 feet to 6’2” tall with a stocky build, short black hair, and last seen wearing a grey polo-style shirt and blue jeans.
According to a news source, the victim’s husband, Grady Fussell, said his wife was due
to testify against a man who shot her 6 months ago. In that case, the man ran to his car grabbed a gun, and drove out of the parking lot shooting. Mrs. Fussell was shot in the foot.
Mr. Fussell claimed the man who shot his wife was upset with her for allegedly in- terfering in his relationship with his girlfriend.
Detectives said Antwoine Noland, 43, is being sought for questioning in the case. He is currently wanted for failing to appear in court on several charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed firearm, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Those charges are not related to the current homicide investigation.
Anyone who has informa- tion about Noland’s where- abouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or Tampa Po- lice.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for in- formation that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect in this case. Anyone with information regarding this case and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call 1-800-873-8477.
