Usher Song
That Was Fast! Lil Mo Is Pregnant From New Husband
Major Art Show
Featuring Chris
Perhaps in a bid to attract hip, young collectors, S|2 — the gallery of Sotheby’s Con- temporary Art Department — has recruited rapper Drake as a curator.
His show will “explore the dialogue between music and art” and feature work by the likes of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker and Ke- hinde Wiley.
Drake will choose songs to go with each work, to be heard at listening stations around the gallery through fancy Beats headphones, nat- urally.
More artists in the show,

opening April 12, include
Nick Cave, Rashid John- son, Wangechi Mutu and David Hammons.
Drake attended Art Basel Miami last year — where he got into a club dust-up with fellow renowned art lover Diddy.
Chris Brown is featured on new Usher song.
A new tune by Usher fea- turing Chris Brown has hit the internet called “All Falls Down,” assumed to be from a recording session from Usher’s upcoming album. (If true, this would be Chris re- turning the favor to Ursh, who accompanied Breezy on his 2014 hit "New Flame.”)
“All Falls Down” is an emo- tional duet, which has both su- perstars chronicling their part in a relationship’s demise. “We all fall down sometimes, so why can’t I?” they sing.
Even though we don't know where this record will go, one thing's certain...it sounds good!

Billie Woodruff is set to direct comedy “Rollin’ Thun- der” with Nick Cannon and Nelly as co-producers. It’s the first collaboration between Re- public Records, and independ- ent film and television studio IM Global.
“Rollin’ Thunder” fo- cuses on an ex-bowling- champ-turned-ex-con who enters a bowling tournament in order to make amends with a local tycoon and his estranged teenage daughter. Production will begin in Atlanta this sum- mer, according to Indiewire.
“The evolution of Repub- lic’s recent success has led us into this partnership with one of Hollywood’s most prolific companies, IM Global,” said Republic founder/CEO Monte Lipman.
“We have found incredible partners in Stuart and David, and collectively look forward to establishing a new paradigm for our respective businesses,” Lipman added. “With Nelly’s inspired ‘Rollin’ Thunder’ as our first project, I couldn’t be more excited about launching this venture together.”

Suge Knight’s Bail Set At $25M; He Collapses In Court
Suge Knight in court on Friday, and later collapses.
Taraji Talks About Son Being Racially Profiled
Former rap music mogul
Marion “Suge” Knight collapsed in a court- room Friday shortly after a judge ordered him held on $25 million bail in a murder case.
Knight’s attorney Matthew Fletcher said his client, who has diabetes and a blood clot, told him that he hadn’t received any medica- tion since Thursday.
Fletcher said Knight hit his head on a chair when he fell after the bail hearing.
Bailiffs cleared the court- room after Knight’s medical episode and paramedics were seen going into the courtroom a few minutes later.
Fletcher said Knight was unconscious when the lawyer left the courtroom and an update on his condi- tion was not immediately available.
Knight fell while deputies were bringing him back into the courtroom after Fletcher asked a judge to
reconvene a hearing and issue an order that Knight be given his medication.
The attorney said Knight is being kept in solitary con- finement without proper ac- cess to medication.
“He’s being treated worse than Charles Manson,” Fletcher said.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Coen set bail for Knight, who is accused of running down and killing a man with his truck.
Coen ordered the amount after Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Barnes noted that Knight was on bail in a robbery case when he struck two men in a park- ing lot in Compton.
Fletcher argued that Knight’s bail should be set at $2 million.
The 49-year-old co- founder of Death Row Records has pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run charges.
In the Feb./March 2015 issue of Uptown Magazine, “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson shared stories of racial profiling that her 20- year-old son, Marcel, has ex- perienced.“My child has been racially profiled. He was in Glendale, California and did exactly everything the cops told him to do, including let- ting them illegally search his car. It was bogus because they didn’t give him the ticket for what he was pulled over for,” Henson explained.
“Then he’s at University of Southern California (USC), the school that I was going to transfer him to, when police stopped him for having his hands in his pockets. So guess where he’s going? Howard University, (Taraji’s alma mater). I’m not paying $50K

so I can’t sleep at night won- dering is this the night my son is getting racially profiled on campus.”
Marcel is Henson's only child, and his father was Henson's high school sweet- heart.
Also in the interview, Henson spoke about how happy she was to be one of now many black women leads on the small screen in shows like Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder.
Pharrell Talks About ‘Blurred Lines’ Verdict
Pharrell Williams, the produced behind 2013’s biggest hit “Blurred Lines,” has been vocal about the fed- eral court decision to share $7.3 million worth of royalties to Marvin Gaye’s family, having called it a “sad day for creativity.” Williams argues it threatens the work of all cre- atives in all fields including musicians, designers, and artists.
In a recent interview with the Financial Times, he elabo- rates on his feelings about it all. "The verdict handicaps any creator out there who is mak- ing something that might be inspired by something else," Williams told the publica- tion. "This applies to fashion, music, design ... anything. If we lose our freedom to be in- spired we’re going to look up one day and the entertain- ment industry as we know it will be frozen in litigation. This is about protecting the in-

tellectual rights of people who have ideas."
In the interview, Pharrell explains “Blurred Lines” was a feeling inspired by the emo- tions he “channeled” from the vibes of Marvin Gaye’s 1977 hit “Got To Give It Up.” "You can’t own feelings and you can’t own emotions," he told FT. Williams added, "Every- thing that’s around you in a room was inspired by some- thing or someone ... If you kill that, there’s no creativity."
Williams’ and Thicke’s lawyer, Howard E. King, in- sinuated the verdict will be challenged.
