Athletes Thank, Pay Respect To President Obama After Farewell Address
Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell: 'I'm What Steph Curry Is To Basketball'
Athletes joined many across the country in taking to social media and thanking Presi- dent Obama for his eight years in office.
Obama, a well-known Chicago sports fan, has served as the United States' 44th presi- dent since 2008. President-elect Donald Trump will take office on Jan. 20 as the na- tion's 45th president.
Obama delivered his farewell address to the nation on Tuesday night in Chicago.
Obama will welcome one more champi- onship team to the White House as the Chicago Cubs are expected to visit Washing- ton D.C. on Monday – just four days before Obama leaves office.
Check out how some athletes reacted to the speech on Twitter:

Le'Veon Bell believes his patient approach to playing running back will change the NFL similar to how Stephen Curry changed the way bas- ketball is played in the NBA.
"I think I'm changing the game," the Pittsburgh Steel- ers running back told Bleacher Report. "In that sense, I'm what Steph Curry is to basketball. Don't get me wrong, I don't neces- sarily think Steph Curry is the best basketball player, but he changed the game so he's going to always go down as being remembered. Now, everyone wants to shoot the 3 and shoot it from deep."

Bell has a patient running style that requires his offen- sive linemen to hold their blocks before he attacks a hole, usually for a big gain. He said he expects young running backs to try to copy his style.
Packers WR Geronimo Allison Faces Marijuana Charges
Green Bay Packers re- ceiver Geronimo Allison will appear in court later this month on misdemeanor charges of possession of mar- ijuana in nearby Manitowoc County, according to Wis- consin circuit court records.
The court records show Allison was pulled over on Sept. 4, the day after he was released in final cuts and the day before he was re-signed to the Packers' practice squad. Allison was eventu- ally elevated to the roster on Oct. 24.
Allison, 22, was cited for speeding, going 11 miles over the posted speed limit, and paid a $200.50 fine, court records showed.
According to the Milwau- kee Journal Sentinel, which

The marijuana charge was added on Dec. 15, and he has an initial court appearance scheduled for Jan. 23, ac- cording to the circuit court website.
