SPOTLIGHT
As cases of COVID-19 con- tinue to rise across our state and community, the City of Tampa is taking additional measures to remind the public to practice COVID-19 safety.
Variable Message Boards have been activated on major roadways across the City, in- cluding Bayshore Blvd, 7th Av- enue, Doyle Carlton Dr. and 22nd Street, with messages about wearing a mask, testing info, avoiding crowds, washing
hands and more.
“We know there is message
fatigue and folks are tired of wearing a mask and staying apart — but the fact remains that your life and the lives of others in our community is too important to give up now,” says Mayor Jane Castor. “These variable message boards are just one more way we are working to reach resi- dents and get that message di- rectly to them. Hopefully,
wherever they’re heading they remember to wear a mask, avoid crowds and stay safe.”
The City of Tampa reminds the public to continue practic- ing COVID-19 safety, espe- cially as the holidays approach: wear a mask, avoid large gatherings, keep 6ft dis- tance, wash your hands, avoid non-essential travel and get tested if you are ill or suspect you may have been exposed.

CLARIFICATION
On November 18, 2020, a local attorney’s office contacted the Florida Sentinel Bulletin about an article published on Friday, November 13, 2020 en- titled “Unauthorized Block Party; Misinformation Complicates Final Moves Of Tampa Park Residents.”
The firm claimed to repre- sent Robin Lockett of Organ- ize Florida, who is mentioned in the article and denies that Ms. Lockett informed former Tampa Park Apartments (“Tampa Park”) tenants via a Zoom call that they did not have to leave until December 30th, if they submitted the CDC Decla- ration Form pertaining to the moratorium on evictions, and that it was a valid delay to the pending November 2nd move out tenant date.
[CORRECTION: Ms. Lockett did not make this statement on the Zoom call dated October 9, 2020.] How- ever, according to Tampa Park staff, the tenants believed that the information provided to them via the Zoom call was rel- evant to their tenancy at Tampa Park. Immediately following this call, two (2) tenants and one (1) guest completed and mailed via certified mail the CDC form mentioned on the Zoom call. The CDC Declara- tion Form was not relevant to any Tampa Park tenant and this information was readily avail- able to the public.
NOTED: Ms. Lockett was NOT authorized to canvas Tampa Park Apartment, Inc. or contact then current tenants via text message or email. Ms. Lockett did not contact the property manager or property ownership prior to soliciting the tenants to verify any informa- tion about resident statuses.
        Missing 11-Year-Old Girl Found Safely
Law enforcement has lo- cated a young girl who was reported missing earlier this week. She has safely been re- turned to her family.
On Monday, the family of the missing girl contacted the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in reference to the child. The caller told police that 11-year-old Honest Bis- bee was last seen around 12 a.m., on Monday. She was at a home near Lakewood Drive and Woodberry Road in Brandon.
Honest had become en- gaged in a verbal altercation with her guardian and ran away from home, police said.
HONEST BISBEE
She was located on Mon- day and returned to her resi- dence. The Sheriff’s Office thanks everyone who shared information about the miss- ing child.
