Author Uses Poetry To Chronicle Life Experiences
IN THE SPOTLIGHT
BY IRIS B. HOLTON Sentinel City Editor
Whether we realize it or not, every day presents an op- portunity to learn something. And every day offers a lesson about life.
A former Tampa residence has chronicled the experiences of her life and committed them to paper. Mrs. Belenda Stephen Cypress recently released her first book entitled, “Inspirations Of A Sensi- tive Heart.”
The book captures the moods, thoughts, and impres- sions of Mrs. Cypress as she does something as simple as purchasing a card, exploring her faith, and the ups and downs of her life, as well as other significant events.
Mrs. Cypress attended

the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County. In 2003, her family moved to Central Florida, where her husband, the late Jerry Cypress, opened a logistics and trans- portation company.
Following his death, Mrs. Cypress has become involved in the daily operations of the company as its owner.
She is also very active in
the ministry at her church, where she serves as the Chil- dren’s Sunday School Teacher.
Mrs. Cypress, who is the mother of three daughters, de- cided to use poetry and prose to share her challenges and en- courage others to strive for their dreams and goals.
“It has been God’s dwelling spirit and His strength that guides me to write from my heart, from where I try to demonstrate a passion and joy toward life knowing that His blessings and favor has sus- tained me,” she said.
In the book, she uses her faith as a vehicle to overcome pain and sadness through love and faith. She is currently working on her second book.
“Inspirations Of A Sen- sitive Heart” is available at Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
