Governor Re-Appoints Two To Children’s Board
Earlier this week, Gover- nor Rick Scott announced the re-appointment of two in- dividuals to the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County.
Ms. Megan Proulx Dempsey of Tampa, is senior corporate counsel for TECO Services, Inc. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tampa and her Juris Doctor from Stetson Uni- versity.
Edwin Narain, 41, of
ED NARAIN
Tampa, is the Director of Ex- ternal Affairs for AT&T. He is a former State Representative. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Saint Leo Univer- sity.
Narain received his Bach- elor’s and Master’s Degrees from Saint Leo University and his Juris Doctor from Stetson University, College of Law.
Their appointments began August 21, 2018 and end De- cember 31, 2020.
2018 Florida A&M University Legacy Luncheon Planned
The Polk County Alumni Chapter of Florida A&M University Legacy Lunch- eon will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018. The starting time for this event is 11 a. m.
The Luncheon will be held at the Carver Recreation Center, 529 South Idle- wood Avenue, Bartow, Florida 33830. A ticket donation is required.
The Guest Speaker for the event will be Mr. Warren Dawson, Esq. Special
guests will be Florida A&M University Band Director, Dr. Shelby Chipman, and the Drum Majors.
