MRS. BETTY LOU STANLEY
Mrs. Betty Lou Stanley of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Febru- ary20at11a.m.atMount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, Pastor T. D. Leonard, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Stanley was a native of Fort Valley, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for over 80 years. After relocating to Tampa, she attended Citrus Park School and Booker T. Washington Jr. High School and continued her education to become a Certified Nurs- ing Assistant.
Mrs. Stanley was a mem- ber of Mt. Tabor M. B. Church where she sang in Choir Number 1, served on the Nurses Guild Ministry, Sunday School and Ways and Means Committee.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Simon Whit- field and Fannie Lee Leggett James; stepfather, Andrew James, Jr.; four brothers, Willie B. James, Robert Lee James, Melvin James and Andrew James; and three sisters, Dorothy Lee James, Marjorie James and Helen Jones.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: son, Nelson Melton; three sisters, Nettie Faye James, Juanita Mc- Cloud and Cassandra James; three brothers, Talmedge James, Nathaniel James and wife, Rose, and Wilson James; two sisters-in-law, Pearl James and Mary James; special cousins, Mat- tie Ford, Lillie Mae Jenkins, Curtiss Wilson and Cynthia Bailey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special mention to the Nursing staff of Habana Healthcare Center.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m., Friday, Febru- ary 19 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave. Arrangements entrusted to RAY WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
BROTHER LAWRENCE STEPHENS
Brother Lawrence Stephens of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Febru- ary20at2p.m.atFirst Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 6012 Edina Street, Wimauma, FL, with Rev- erend Tony Harris, pastor, officiating.
Mr. Stephens was a native of Tampa, and was educated in the public schools of Hills- borough County.
He was converted at an early age under the leader- ship of Reverend Tony Har- ris of First Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, Wimauma, FL, where he con- tinued to serve until his pass- ing.
Mr. Stephens was pre- ceded in death by: his par- ents, Mr. Bethel Stephens, Sr. and Mrs. Ruth Levins Stephens; son, "Boo;" three brothers, Theodore Stephens, Willie Stephens and Ulysse "Steve" Stephens; and four sisters, Brenda Stephens, Betty Stephens, Al- phia Stephens and Edna Stephens.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: three brothers, Bethel Stephens, Jr. of Tampa, Levern Stephen (Geraldine) of Apollo Beach, FL, and Bruce Stephens (Geraldine) of Tampa; four sisters, Minnie Stephens, Frances Stephens, Delarene Stephens and Sylvia Stephens, all of Tampa; sister-in-law, Sara Stephens of Harrisburg, PA; uncle, Mr. James Berrien of Wimauma, FL; three aunts, Carrie Levins of Wimauma, FL, Ora Levins of Wimauma, FL, and Doretha Levins of St. Augustine, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends.
The remains will repose at 1 p. m. until funeral time on Saturday afternoon, Febru- ary 20 at First Prospect M. B. Church. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING ON FRI- DAY EVENING.

MR. DAVE ZIGGLER, SR.
Mr. Dave Ziggler, Sr. of 6904 12th Avenue South, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 20 at 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8616 Progress Boulevard, with Dr. Sam Maxwell, Senior Teaching Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Ziggler was a native of Capps, FL, and was a res- ident of Tampa for 55 years.
He attended elementary school at Welaunee Planta- tion and upon arriving in Tampa, he enrolled in Erwin Vo-Technical Center in an attempt to further his education, where he re- ceived his welding certifi- cate.
He was retired for 20 years from LaFarge Corpo- ration as a heavy equipment operator, where he worked for 33 years.
He was preceded in death by: his mother and father, Will and Celia Ziggler; four brothers, Will Ziggler, Sam Howell, Henry Lee Howell and Frank Ziggler; and two sisters, Hester Oliver and Sally Mae Gibson.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving daugh- ter, Brenda Ziggler-Shiggs and husband, Douglas; and a devoted son, Dave Ziggler, Jr. and wife, Selena, both of Tampa; a granddaughter, Denise Watson and hus- band, Calvin of Pyeongtaek, Korea; a grandson, Dono- van Ziggler of Tampa; 2 great grandchildren, Aric and Brian Watson of Pyeongtaek, Korea; sisters, Celie Mae Townsend of San- ford, FL, Mattie Pearl Jack- son and husband, John of Melbourne, FL, Essie Mae Anderson of Monticello, FL, and Minister Rosa Scott of Monticello, FL; brothers, Sylvester Ziggler and wife, Jo-Ann of Bristol, FL, and John Howell of Palmetto, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to give special acknowledge- ment to his devoted friends: Eugene Kilpatrick, Joe Mitchell and Eugene Thomas.

Mrs. Williams was born on November 6, 1923, in Tampa, the only daughter to the parentage of Mr. Charlie and Victoria Johnson.
Mrs. Williams graduated from Middleton High School in 1943, and furthered her education at Bethune Cook- man College.
She retired from GTE/Ver- izon Telephone Company after 20 years of service, and she was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai AME Zion Church for over 60 years.
There will be a visitation on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 5-8 p. m., at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street Tampa. Friends are asked to assemble at the church at approximately 10:45 a. m. on Saturday.
