The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help locate a sus- pect. The suspect could pos- sibly have fled the country.
According to police, Den- nis St. John Rodriguez, Jr., is a suspect in the death of Raymond Anthony Pa- tram. Patram has not been seen since the morning of May 16, 2016, and is pre- sumed dead.
Last May, deputies re- sponded to Patram’s home after his wife reported him missing. He was last seen at his home and has not been seen or heard from in the past year. His silver 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee was also missing. However, the vehicle has since been lo- cated.
During the investigation, police developed information that led them to Rodriguez.

Detectives are working with the Federal Bureau of Investigations to locate Ro- driguez, who formerly lived in Brandon. Police believe he may be hiding in Mexico.

A cash reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information leading to his whereabouts, his arrest, and conviction in connection with the murder.
Police are currently searching for four unidentified suspects who broke into Metro PCS, 20307 Bruce B. Downs, on May 6th.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, four suspects wearing masks and gloves broke the front glass of the business. Once inside, they re- moved a safe with an undisclosed amount of cash inside.
The suspects fled the scene in a white SUV. No additional de- scription of the suspects was available at press time.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to identify a man in connec- tion with the theft of 4 televi- sion sets. The theft took place on May 14th.
According to police, an unidentified Black man walked out of the Walmart, 8220 N. Dale Mabry Highway with two Samsung 32” televi- sions and two Samsung 24” televisions. The man fled the scene in a light-colored 2004 Saturn Ion.
The suspect has a large build and is between 22 and 29 years of age. He is also be- tween 5’8” and 6’ tall.
The same man returned to the store two days later and at- tempted to remove more tele- visions, but was unsuccessful.

Governor Signs 16 Bills Into Law
Earlier this week, Governor Rick Scott signed 16 new bills into law. The new bills are:
Relief of ‘Survivor’ and the Estate of ‘Victim’ – This bill directs the Florida Depart- ment of Children and Families to provide a total of $3.75 million in compensation relief to Victor Barahona and the estate of Nubia Barahona.
Public Records – This bill specifies the conditions under which a court may award attor- ney fees in public record dis- putes.
Timeshares – This bill re- vises definitions and require- ments for termination of timeshare plans and creates a
new section related to the exten- sion of the terms of timeshares.
Human Trafficking –
This bill strengthens the over- sight for victims of Human Traf- ficking by creating guidelines for Florida Department of Children and Families to better coordi- nate services.
Shark Fins – This bill in- creases penalties for shark finning and codifies a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission rule prohibiting this practice.
Public Records –This bill creates a public records exemp- tion for individuals with sub- stance abuse impairment under the Florida Marchman Act.
Collective Bargaining Impasses – This bill amends the timeline for portions of the Legislature’s process to resolve collective bargaining issues at impasse.
State Park Fees – This bill provides free annual state park entrance passes and a 50 percent discount on campsite fees to fos- ter families, and a free annual state park entrance pass to fam- ilies who adopt children with special needs.
“Boater Safety Bill”– This bill further reduces registration fees for boats equipped with a Personal Loca- tor Beacon (PLB) or an Emer- gency Position Indicating Radio
Beacon (EPIRB).
Department of Business and Professional Regula- tion Fees – This bill reduces the building permit surcharge assessed on applicable building permits to 1 percent and limits the delinquent license fees to a
flat rate of $25.00 for profes- sions under Ch. 455, F.S.
Real Estate Apprais- ers – This bill updates the types of instruction methods real es- tate schools may use, amends appraisal management company statutes to comply with changes to federal rules, and eliminates the post-licensure education re- quirement for trainee real estate appraisers.
Department of Correc- tions – This bill changes provi- sions within the department to help enhance the efficiency, op- erations, and security of the state prison system.
Cottage Food Operations – This bill increases the annual gross sales threshold from $15,000 to $50,000, to qualify as a cottage food operation and allows cottage food operations to sell products over the internet.
OGSR/ Reports of Un- claimed Property – This bill prevents the scheduled repeal of the public records exemption for social security numbers and property identifiers contained in reports of unclaimed property held by the Department of Fi- nancial Services.
OGSR/ Title Insurance Agencies or Insurers/ Office of Insurance Regulation – This bill continues the existing public records exemption for proprietary business informa- tion of a title insurance agency or title insurer.
Homestead Exemption Implementation – This bill would implement a proposed third homestead property tax ex- emption constitutional amend- ment if voted into law.
