REV. EDWARD ‘LARRY’ GAINOUS
Rev. Edward “Larry” Franklin Gainous, 72, of Tampa, Florida, was welcomed home on Friday, March 23, 2018.
Homegoing Services for Rev. Gainous will be held on Satur- day, March 31, 2018 at 1 p. m. at The House of God, 2909 N. 29th St., Tampa, Rev. Wanda Wilson, Pastor, officiating.
Larry was a native of Tampa and attended public schools in Hillsborough County. He gradu- ated from Blake High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his coun- try for 4 years. After his stint in the armed services, he worked for Tampa Electric Company, taught at Florida A&M Univer- sity, and owned and operated Gainous Fertilizer.
Later in life, Larry joined The House of God Church. He trav- eled to Nashville, TN where he was confirmed into the church. He taught classes at the local band and served as the Pastor’s armor-bearer.
Larry was preceded in death by: his parents, VanCuran and Rebecca Gainous; sister, Gloria Dean Gainous; and brothers, Shelly Eugene Gainous and Van- Curan “Skip” Gainous, who tran- sitioned on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Delores Gain- ous; 2 loving sons, Kyle (Melissa) Gainous and Kale Gainous; 2 lov- ing daughters, Valerie Sconiers (LaVon) and Konneeceeless (Rashod) Johnson; 10 grandchil- dren, Kobi Gainous, Kyra Gain- ous, James Hernandez, Kardi’ Gainous, Sherman Allen, Kalissa Gainous, Kynilea Thompson, Rashod Johnson, Jr., Cherish Johnson, and Laila Johnson; 3 loving brothers, Oscar “Pedo” Gainous, Tony (Rosalyn) Gain- ous, and Ivan “Keith” (Christine) Gainous; 2 loving sisters, Twila Gainous and Vannessa (Derrick) Grace; and his very devoted friends, Leroy Vick and Betty Lewis; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other extended family, and close friends.
The remains will repose Sat- urdayfrom11:30a.m.-1p.m.at The House of God Church. The processional will assemble at 12:45 p. m. at the church.

MRS. ANNIE LOIS CARRINGTON
Mrs. Annie Lois Carrington of 3519 North B. Street, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018. Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, March 31, at 2 p. m. at New Mount Zion Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 1321 N. Webster Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33805, with Pastor Kendrix J. Gardner, Sr., officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Annie Lois Carrington was a native of Camilla, Georgia and resident of Tampa for many years. She was a graduate of Gillespie Normal School in Cordele, GA and furthered her education at the Washington Park School in Lakeland, FL now known as Rochelle School of the Arts.
She attended Beauty school under the tutelage of Madam C. J. Walker. Mrs. Carrington en- joyed her career as a Cosmetolo- gist, and was a member of New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Lakeland, FL. She was a former member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Tampa, under the leadership of Reverend C. P. Epps.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Scheryl Carrington of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Princess Anna Carrington of Tampa, Christo- pher Carrington and wife, Kate- lyn of Los Angeles, CA, and Chiantha Carrington and wife, Nikki of Plant City, FL; god- grandson, Myrick Lewis and wife, Tamari of Virginia; great- grandchildren, Sydney Coffee, Chiantha, Dalton, Lexi and Olivia Carrington and Khiara Chestnut; sister, Dr. Aquilla S. Williams and husband, Theopers; special cousin, Dorothy Williams of Tampa, FL; special friend, Jack Watts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other rela- tives and friends.

MRS. ALICE E. DAVIS
Mrs. Alice E. Davis of Tampa passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 31 at 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memo- rial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, with Minister John Douglas, officiating.
Mrs. Alice E. Davis was a na- tive of Rubonia, FL and a resi- dent of Tampa for 78 years. She was educated in the public schools of Manatee County and was a graduate of Lincoln Memo- rial High School, Class of 1944.
She became a member of the Church of Christ at an early age and was a member of Seminole Church of Christ.
Mrs. Alice Davis was swept off into a life of love and caring by her husband, Mr. Johnnie James Davis. They were married on October 5, 1942 and to this union 4 children (Hermia, Roland, Micheal and Johnnnie, Jr.) were born.
Mrs. Alice Davis was a valued member of the Carver City/Lin- coln Gardens Civic Club and re- ceived numerous awards. She also was a hard worker at her church and her community/neighborhood.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Enoch Williams and Roxanna Kincaid; husband, Johnnie Davis; and sons, Roland Davis and Micheal Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Hermia Gwendolyn Kinder of Tampa, FL; son, Johnnie A. Davis and wife, Annie Davis of Tampa; brother, Enoch Williams, Jr. and wife, Jane of Bradenton, FL; sis- ter, Ida Mae James of Havana, FL; daughter-in-law, Thelma Davis of Tampa; 7 grandchildren, Eric, Jackie, Kim, Greg, Dawn, Demond and Tina; 19 great- grandchildren; 7 great- great- grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends who showed endless care and love, Gladys Henderson, Helen Davis, Marilyn Lovell and Betty King; and she was greatly beloved by the family pet, Tiny.

MRS. ETHELRINE JEFFERSON
Mrs. Ethelrine Jefferson of Tampa, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018. Funeral serv- ices will be conducted Satur- day, March 31, at 11 a. m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church (Lake Monroe), 4561 Douglas Street, Sanford, Florida 32771, Reverend Dr. Elias G. Caffey, officiating. In- terment will follow in Ever- green Cemetery, Sanford, Florida.
Mrs. Ethelrine Jefferson was a native of Sanford, FL, and joined Providence M. B. Church, Lake Monroe, FL at an early age, and later moved to Tampa where she united with the Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church.
She received her early years of education from Book- ertown Elementary School, Lake Monroe, FL; high school years at Crooms Academy, Sanford, FL, graduating class of 1963. Mrs. Jefferson fur- thered her education and earned her Associate Arts de- gree from Hillsborough Com- munity College, Tampa. She attended NOVA Southeastern University, Tampa, FL Campus and Springfield College, Springfield, MA, where she re- ceived her Bachelor of Science Degree. Mrs. Jefferson retired as an Educator from the School District of Hillsbor- ough County.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Bennie Lee Jefferson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Bonita Parker (Paul) of Orlando, FL; sons, Victor Blue of Tampa, Dywain Blue (Patricia) of Auburndale, FL, Benny Jeffer- son, Jr., of Tampa; stepdaugh- ter, Tina Jefferson Frazier of Tampa; adopted children, Vic- tor Blue, Jr. of Sanford, FL and Evoni Blue of Daytona Beach, FL; mother, Lizzie Campbell of Lake Monroe, FL; brother, Charles Campbell of Tampa, Henry Campbell (Annette) of Sanford, FL, Kelly Campbell of Lake Monroe, FL; aunts, Susie Campbell and Kattie Young of Sanford, FL; uncle, Bobby of Hyde Park, MA; a host of grandchildren, great- grand- children, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, goddaughter, Crystal Starke of Richmond, VA, Angela Frazier of Tampa; Classmates of 1963 Crooms Academy High School, San- ford, FL.

MR. WILLIE JAMES MOORE
Mr. Willie James Moore of 11046 Streamside Dr., passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 31, at 11 a. m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 3410 E. Wilder Avenue, Rev- erend Joseph A. Sykes, Pastor, officiating, with Reverend Carnell Upshaw, eulogist. In- terment will follow in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Willie James Moore was a native of Valdosta, GA and a resident of Tampa for 50 years. He was educated in the public schools of Lowndes County, Valdosta, GA. After graduation he enlisted into the United States Air Force where he served four years until he was Honorably Dis- charged.
Mr. Willie James Moore married, Lucille (Frederick) Moore and shared their life to- gether for 43 years, before her passing on April 30, 2012.
He worked for the City of Tampa as a Public Works Su- pervisor. Mr. Moore was a Deacon at Macedonia Mis- sionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully until he became ill.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his granddaughters, Ashley and Brianna Lundy, who were his caregivers; his children, Patricia Green (Gerald), Elaine Scurry (Courtney), Ricky Frederick (Kim), Willie J. Moore, Jr. (Wanita), Irma Boothe, Judy Ann Moore (Andzil), David Moore (Sandy), and Ken Moore; his surviving brothers and sisters, Henry Moore (Equilla), Sam Moore (Pamela), Corrine Anderson, Alavon McPherson (Alphonso) and Francis Mathis (Johnny); and a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, March 30, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 North Howard Av- enue.
