MS. LUCILLE DENISE DAVIS (NITA)
Ms. Lucille Denise Davis (Nita) of Tampa, Florida, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019. Fu- neral services will be conducted Saturday, September 14th at 4 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 East Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard, Elder Walter Niles, officiating, eulogist, Pastor Pierre Francois. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Ceme- tery.
Ms. Lucille Davis was born July 17, 1953, in Tampa, Florida. Lucille was a lifelong resident of Tampa. She was educated by the Public Schools of Hillsborough County and employed with Hills- borough County as a student nu- trition cook for 18 years.
Lucille’s calling and purpose in life was providing delicious meals for her family and friends. She was the life of the party and will truly be missed.
Lucille was preceded in death by: her parents, Daniel and Mattie Davis; siblings, Jimmy Lee, Henry, Rita, Nathaniel, Charlene, Victor, Daniel, Jr., and Moses Davis.
Cherishing her beautiful mem- ories son: James “Unc” Dennis (Whitney “Pancake”); grandchil- dren, Ruben Eli Gonzalez and Jamie Elizabeth Dennis, all of Tampa, Florida. She also leaves to mourn sisters, Catherine Norton (Clarence), Sarah Davis Hepburn and Veronica Davis; brothers, Gerald Davis (Darlene), Anthony Davis and Jeffrey Davis; sisters-in- law, Patricia Davis, Darlene Davis, and Theresa Davis, all of Tampa, Florida; aunt: Shirley Williams, of Tampa, Florida; nieces, Kathy Hepburn, Kesha Rose, Meka Davis, Shonda Lockwood (Derri- cus), Cimone Watson (Terrance), Erica Francois (Pierre), Ebony, Ashely, Nicole, Cecelia and Vick- nesia Davis, Tameka Gant (Chris), Utara King, Nattana, Jordan and Jasmine Davis; nephews; Way- mon Rose, Gerald Davis (Jen), Shawn Taylor (Meka), Leroy Howard (Kera), Daniel Davis, Jr., (Penny), Jeffrey Davis Jr., Mau- rice, Antwan Aaron, Gary, An- thony, Jr,, Rashad and Victor Davis, Jr.; devoted friends, Shirley Strange, James Baker, Ruby “OG” Wright, James Elementary faculty and staff; and a host of other rela- tives and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 13th, from 5 p. m. to 7 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Sat- urday for the funeral service.
MR. NATHAN VAZ McCALLA ‘KARATE MAC’
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Nathan Vaz (Karate Mac) McCalla, of Tampa Florida, who passed away in Melech Hospice House on Friday, August 30, 2019, will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 2 p. m. at Allen Temple A. M. E. Church, Pastor Glenn B. Dames, with Rev. Allen L. Cusseaux, Sr., Eulogist and Rev. Dr. Leon Gallon, Officiating. Inter- ment will follow at Orange Hill Cemetery.
Mr. McCalla was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on May 6, 1952, to the late Mrs. SyBil Silvera and Mr. Roymand McCalla.
He attended Public Schools in Jamaica, and at an early age moved to the United States. With a father as a police officer, he knew the importance of being physically fit, and protecting his family and others.
Always fascinated about the art of karate and judo, he would spend his young adult life training, studying martial arts, and later re- ceiving the highest honor in the U. S. as a 7th Degree Black Belt. To know him would be to know him as Karate Mac. That would be the only name he would use or be called. Karate Mac became a con- summate businessman and body- guard at 6’5,” 7th Degree Black Belt with over 43 years as a profes- sional martial artist. He was the owner of Kempo School of Karate on Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, FL for 20 years.
There, he trained law enforce- ment, athletes, security personnel and young students who could handle his discipline. He was li- censed and bonded in over 38 states, a weapon expert and main- tained a chauffer’s license for lux- ury vehicles for over 41 years. Karate Mac had a stellar career protecting music artists such as the late Whitney Houston, Jodeci, R. Kelly, Willie Nelson, Julio Igle- sias, George Michael, Diana Ross,
Stevie Wonder, The O’Jays, Boys II Men, Destiny’s Child, Rick Ross, Meek Mills, White Snake, David Lee Roth, Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard, Elton John, The Judds, KC and the Sunshine Band, Jon B., The Temptations, SOS Band, The Commodores, Beastie Boys, Millie Jackson, B. B. King, Stevie Nicks, Luther Vandross, and Tampa’s own, Donna Allen.
In the championship sports arena, he protected the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Antonio Tarver, Andre Berto, Gary Sheffield, Doc Gooden, Derrick Bell, Michael Clayton, Donald Penn, Marshall Faulk, Hulk Hogan, Dwayne “The Rock” John- son, and Tampa’s own Holliwood Dawson, amongst others.
Karate Mac was also honored to serve as bodyguard to former President, George W. Bush, Greg Bennett, Fred Strickland, Dean Kearney, Billy Graham, and so many others earning him the name “Bodyguard to the Stars.”
Karate Mac leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories: his mother Ms. Bibi Green; fiancée Ms. Gwendolyn Webster; and his five loving children: Mr. Christo- pher McCalla (Shantel), Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Ms. Mary McCalla, Ms. Kenetia “Gegi” Bembow, both of Tampa, Mr. Taurean Watson (Kaylca), Windermere, FL, and Ms. Jasmyn McCalla of Orlando, FL; his eight adorable grandchil- dren, Vashay, Giselle, Cristian, Dontae, Zakeila, Kaejay, Zhane and Nasir; his siblings from Ja- maica, Marcel McCalla, Angella McCalla (Lloyd), Noel Morris (Lilith), Errol Anderson, Char- maine Tacas, Davis Facly, Patricia Dale all of Kingston, Jamaica; Calvin Baboolall (Sarita), Edwin Baboolall (Debra), Esther Williams (Dale), Bibi Habib, and Marcia Hazzard, all of Tampa, FL; a loving uncle, Mr. Roy Gordon, of South Carolina and aunt, Mrs. Edith Dermott of Canada; his god- son, Mr. Yannick ToniMacRomi Cusseaux, Sr., along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and so, so, so many friends that can’t be named.

MRS. SARAH MAE SCOTT
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Sarah Mae Scott, of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 will be held Saturday, September 14th, 2:00 p.m., at 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Rev. Richard Lee Woodberry, officiat- ing. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Sarah was born April 24, 1922, in Albany, Georgia. She enjoyed going to church, volunteering at the neighborhood school and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her, husband John H. Scott, Sr.; son, John H. Scott, Jr.; daughters, Mamie L Grier, Diane L. and Evelyn Scott; father, Wilson Jackson; mother, Ommie Mickens; and 5 brothers.

MR. KEYSEAN JEREMIAH WILLIAMS
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Keysean Jeremiah Williams, of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019, will be held Saturday, September 14th, at 11 a. m., at New Mt. Zion MB Church, 2511 E. Columbus Dr., Pastor Larry Roundtre, II; Rev. Al- leyne A. Hall, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Harlem, New York City, officiating. The inter- ment will be held in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Keysean Jeremiah Williams was born in Tampa on November 16, 2000. Keysean, affectionately known by his friends as “KJ,” grad- uated from James Irvine Education Center.
He was a sports enthusiast and played both baseball and football. Keysean worked as a warehouse manager at Professional Hair Labs. His long-term goal was to be a fire- fighter.
He enjoyed working, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with friends and family. Keysean was an independent young man who was always willing to go the extra mile to help friends and fam- ily.
His loving energy and bright smile were beacons to all who he encountered. He was a problem- solver who always took on difficult tasks at work and around the house. His favorite quote was “Who Jah bless, no man curse.”
Keysean was preceded in death by: his grandfather, Alexander Williams, Sr., and great-grand- mother, Leona Williams.
Keysean is survived by: his par- ents, Alexander Williams, Jr., and Keesha Williams; brothers, Alexander, III, Mailyke, Jamal, and Zavier Williams; grandparents, Harvey and Nora Hall and Gail Gadson; aunts, Jacqueline, Al- leyne, Althea, Karen, Kayan, Mar- lone, Kimberly, Susie, Carla-Gaye, Tricia, Stacy-Anne, Kysuron, Kristina, Reshima, Markeshia, Ai- ishah, Tennille, Andrea, Shania, Jasmine and Tynice; uncles, Alex, Alexander, Patrick, Kirk, Ricardo, Laurel, Khemar, Carlyle, Kevin and Phyllando; godparents, Monyca, John and Janelle, his devoted girl- friend; Shaley, along with her lov- ing parents, Dave and Chasity.
Keysean will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
