PHARRELL WILLIAMS
Pharrell has yet another day job. Besides being a coach on NBC’s The Voice and hav- ing a partnership with adidas, he has been appointed as the style director of sustainabil- ity-focused projects in South Africa, BBC reports.

Other Man That Suge Knight Ran Over Won’t ‘Snitch’
CLE SLOAN
The other man that was injured in Suge Knight’s fatal hit-and-run refused to identify him as the man who ran him over, ABC reports.
“I will not be used to send Suge Knight to prison,” Cle “Bone” Sloan said at a pre- liminary hearing Monday (Apr.13).
Sloan, who is advising the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, said he only took the stand because he was subpoenaed. He claims that he does not want to be a “snitch.”
“Every day, I tried to for-

get it,” he said. “I just know, I screwed up, and Terry’s dead.”
Sloan suffered fractured ankles, a shoulder injury, a cut on his head and two torn ligaments in his knees in the hit-and-run that left Terry Carter dead.
The judge is trying to de- termine whether there is enough evidence to take Knight to trial for murder, attempted murder and hit- and-run charges. The former CEO is facing life in prison and is being held on $25 mil- lion bail.
Nelly Fallout: Concert At College Cancelled
A Nelly concert sched- uled for next week at Mis- souri State University has been canceled days after he was arrested in Tennessee on suspicion of drug possession.
Missouri State officials announced the cancellation Tuesday in a statement but did not give a reason. The rapper was scheduled to per- form in Springfield on April 23.
Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Hayes, was ar- rested Saturday by the Ten- nessee Highway Patrol. The patrol said in a news release that investigators found five rocks that tested positive for methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and numerous handguns on the rapper’s bus.
His attorney, Scott Rosenblum, said in a state- ment that Nelly will “not be associated with the contra- band” once the facts come out.
Nelly gave a statement saying, “I feel the need to take responsibility for my choices in needing to be more aware of all the people I associate

with and allow onto my pro- perty. While my instinct of course, is to be accessible to my friends, fans and acquain- tances, the last thing I would want to do is compromise the respect and admiration of my friends, family and fans.”
According to reports, up to 20 other people had access to Nelly’s tour bus. That number apparently included individuals Nelly was not fa- miliar with.
Some of the people that Nelly does include in his inner circle are returning to BET next month. Season two of the reality series Nel- lyville begins May 5. The show documents Nelly and his family.
Nelly was released from Putnam County Jail on $10,000 bond.
