MR. BROOKER T. FIELDS, JR.
Homegoing services for Mr. Brooker T. Fields, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away Monday, April 6, 2015, will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 11 a. m. at St. John Progres- sive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 E. Chipco Street, Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, pastor, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Brooker was born on April 6, 1946, to Annie Lee Fields and Brooker T. Fields, Sr. in Estill, South Carolina. He re- ceived his formal education at Middleton High School and earned his ASC Certification in Automotive Mechanics at Manpower Development Cen- ter. He dutifully worked for Goodyear and Montgomery Ward and retired at the age of 62.
He enjoyed taking care of his family, his grandchildren, gardening, listening to gospel and soul music, putting to- gether miniature cars and playing horseshoes. Most of all he told the truth, whether you liked it or not.
Mr. Fields accepted Christ as his Savior at St. John Pro- gressive M. B. Church and was truly blessed.
He was preceded in death by: his loving father, Brooker T. Fields, Sr.; and a beloved brother, John Fields.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Ce- celia P. Fields; 7 daughters,
Delirie Powell (Michael), Yvett Ellis, Lindann Fields, Skinethia Agee, Malynda Sykes, Bernietta Sherrod (Al- bert A., Jr.), and Annanora Fields (Anthony A. Lindsey); son, Brooker T. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 17, 2015, from 5- 8 p. m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p. m.
The friends and family are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

MRS. ZENA REAVES MAY
Homegoing services for our beloved Mrs. Zena Reaves May of Tampa, who the Lord called home on Saturday, April 11, 2015, affectionately known to many as Madear, will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Rev. Dr. Evan S. Bur- rows, pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Zena was born on May 23, 1927, to Mr. Jimmie Reaves and Mrs. Florean Biggins Reaves in Sandersville, Geor- gia. She attended public schools in that area, and com- pleted school in her adult years at Middleton H. S.
She married early and with her husband, William May and two young daughters moved to Tampa around 1945. Madear accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Sandersville, Georgia. When she moved to Tampa, she continued her faith walk and eventually joined First Baptist Church of College Hill.
She became a school cafete- ria worker at Booker T. Wash- ington Junior HS and served as a baker. She was an active member of the Florida School Food Service Association and enjoyed traveling to their con- ventions. She retired from this position with the Hillsborough County School System in 1992.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, Otis and Albert Reaves; two daughters, Ernestine May and Barbara Jean Thomas; niece, Patricia Palmer; and nephew, Douglas Reaves.
She is survived by: her old- est daughter, Curtestine May Boardley (James E.), Ft. Washington, MD; sister, Amanda Palmer; grandchil- dren, Tamara May, Angela B. Jeter, MD, Zena Y. Boardley, MD, and Chisara Felder and Shannon Thomas, III, AZ; great grandchildren, Anthony Dexter, Gary Menifield, Zay- eera James, Zebony Thomas, Yulandria Gilchrist, John U. Gillison, III, MD, and Ocean Thomas, AZ; nieces, Lorean Reaves, Linda Reaves, Annie Jean Patrick and Pamela Reaves McPherson; nephew, Dennis Reaves; first cousins, Willie Mae McCoy and Eula Mae Canty, Jacksonville, Eddie Lee Biggins, Betty Bolden and Irene Grey; sister- in-law, Essie Mae Reaves; son- in-law, Shannon Thomas, Jr., AZ; special friends, Willie Mae Williams, Creola Morgan, Annie Childs, B. J. Weldon and Lonnette James; beloved Sunday School Teacher and

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, April 17, 2015, from 5-8 p. m. The family will receive friends 6-7 p. m.

ELDER VENUS SABRINA BAKER
Elder Venus Sabrina Baker, 55, of Tampa, died April 8, 2015, at Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace.
She was born in Newburgh, New York. She was employed as a preservation coordinator at Cypress Services, LLC, in Brandon. She was a member at The Hands of God Min- istries in Tampa. She was a former resident of Lakeland.
Services will be held on Sat- urday, April 18, 2015, at 12 noon at The Center for Mani- festation, 3102 East Lake Av- enue, Tampa.
Visitation will be held Fri- day at The Hands of God Min- istries, 2918 East 27th Avenue, Tampa, from 6-8 p. m.

Mrs. Denise Albury Cog- mon of Tampa, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 11 a. m. at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 West Grace Street, with Pastor T. D. Leonard, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
A native of Florida and a resident of Tampa for 60 years, Mrs. Denise Albury Cogmon attended Howard W. Blake High School and Hills- borough Community College, and was a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. Denise was one of the first African American women to drive buses for HARTline.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Louis Albury; her mother, Lela Albury; her 2 brothers, Anthony Albury and Louis Albury; and her grand- son, Demarcus Pittman.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Willie D.
