Remembering You On Mother’s Day

MR. FRANCIS FURMAN BRANTLEY, JR.
Mr. Francis Furman Brant- ley, Jr. of Tampa passed away, Friday, May 3, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Fri- day, May 17, 2019 at 12 noon at the Mount Calvary SDA Church, 4902 N. 40th St., Tampa, with Pastor Curtis Crider, officiating, and Elder Walter Niles, eulo- gist. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Brantley was a native of Tampa and was a product of a Christian education. He at- tended Mt. Calvary Jr. Acad- emy, Forest Lake Academy and furthered his education at Oak- wood College. He was a hos- pitability manager for several restaurants in the Tampa area and former employee with Pub- lix Supermarkets.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: a devoted mother, Doris C. Brantley; brother, Shannon R. Brantley; two daughters whom he loved dearly, Jadiah C’Nae Lehlbach and Jordyn Brantley Lehlbach; and their mother, Angela Lehlbach; and host of sorrowing relatives and friends.
The body will repose at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, from 5 - 8 p. m. Thursday, May 16, and 11a. m. until 12 noon at the church, Fri- day, May 17. The family re- quests that relatives and friends assemble for funeral at Mt. Cal- vary SDA Church at approxi- mately 11:45 a. m.

SISTER CYNTHIA DIANE FARMER
Sister Cynthia Diane Farmer of Tampa, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May15at11a.m.atSt.MarkMis- sionary Baptist Church - Port Tampa, 7221 S. Sherrill Street, with Reverend Correggio Reaves, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Sister Cynthia Diane Farmer lived a life dedicated to family and helping others. She was a native and resident of Port Tampa and was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Robin- son High School, Class of 1968. She furthered her education and attended Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University (FAMU), where she earned her Bachelor of Administration degree in Business Administration in 1972.
Her career development then led her to live and work in Ken- tucky, Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Ft. Myers, prior to relocating back to Tampa to continue her career as a Retail Supervisor. She was employed as a Retail Manager with Maas Brothers, Burdines, and ultimately Macy’s, from which she retired in 2012. She joined St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.
“Diane,” as she was known to most, was preceded in death by: her loving parents, James C. Farmer, Sr. and Dorothy Rawls Farmer.
Diane is survived by: six brothers, James, Jr., Kent (Joyce), Stephen (Carolyn), Don- ald (Anita), Gerry (Joyce), and Gerald (Lisa); nieces and nephews, Tracey Farmer Arse- nault, James Neal Farmer, III, Cassandra Farmer Germain (Troy), Danielle Farmer Gordon, Kandace Farmer Flythe (Jim- mie), Stephen Tim Farmer (Tina), Erica Farmer, Melanie Farmer, Joshua Farmer (Kaylah) and Jasmine Farmer; great- nephews, Al-Lateef, James, IV, Stephen, III, Christian, Jordan, Jalen and Jrue; great-nieces, Tranae, Kendall and Kori; an aunt; a host of cousins, extended family and friends, Ladine Mun- ford, Al Lewis, Betty Lewis, Car- olyn Harris; and many church members and neighbors of Port Tampa.
The visitation will be held Tuesday, May 14th, from 5 to 7 p. m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

Crime
Police are currently in- vestigating a shooting that has left a 38-year-old man dead. The shooting took place early Sunday morning.

rived at the scene, they dis- covered that an adult male had suffered from a gunshot
wound. He was transported to Bayfront Health St. Pe- tersburg, where he was pro- nounced dead.
The man has been identi- fied as Jermaine Cum- mings. No arrests have been made and police is seeking assistance from the public to solve the murder.
