Lil Wayne's ‘Tha Carter V’ On Pace For 3rd Largest Streaming Week Ever
Tyrese Welcomes Baby Girl With Wife Samantha Lee-Gibson
Singer Tyrese and his wife Samanta Lee Gibson have welcomed their first child together— a baby girl! In an Instagram post shared Monday, the R&B singer said the couple was “humbled” by the arrival of their daughter, Soraya.
“My wife is the real cham- pion. 30 hours of labor I wit- nessed first hand the strength of a woman,” he wrote in a caption. “Thank you Jesus we are so humbled by your grace and love and favor.”
The singer shared a photo of his new baby girl's footprints and called his wife "the real champion" as he took on daddy duties.
Years of delays apparently didn’t affect the demand for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V. Weezy’s long-awaited album, which dropped last Friday (September 28), is poised to achieve the third largest streaming week in his- tory.
According to Billboard, industry forecasters are ex- pecting Tha Carter V to rack up more than 400 million on- demand audio streams in the U.S. in its opening week. If correct, Wayne would only trail Drake’s Scorpion (749.5 million streams) and Post Malone’s beer- bongs & bentleys (431.3 mil- lion) for the most first-week streams.
Regardless of what the final number is, Weezy’s Tha Carter V is expected to be No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Fore- casters are anticipating over 450,000 equivalent album units earned in the week end-

ing on October 4.
If Wayne hits the top of
the chart again, it will be his first time since 2011 when he accomplished the feat with Tha Carter IV. He has also reached No. 1 with 2010’s I Am Not A Human Being and 2008’s Tha Carter III.

‘Bad Boys For Life’ Production Could Start Sooner Than We Think
Production of the next film in the Bad Boys fran- chise is as early as next year. According to an exclusive by Variety, Bad Boys For Life may possibly get the offi- cial green light by its distribu- tor Sony to start production very soon.
The site reads “a new draft of a script appears to have met with the producers’ ap- proval and it looks as though production on the sequel could begin in early 2019. The plan is for the third “Bad Boys” to be in theaters by Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend in 2020.”
Variety also reports that Will Smith is “on board” to reprise the role of Detective Mike Lowrey, while the film is still waiting on word from Martin Lawrence to confirm he will return as Detective Marcus Burnett. However, he has been an outspoken voice re- garding the possibility of a third film.

“Let’s do it again for sure,” wrote Lawrence in an Insta- gram comment section of a picture of he and Smith. Ear- lier in 2017, the comedian stated that a new film wasn’t up to him.
“If they wanted to do it, I’m ready, but I don’t have control of that,” said Lawrence. “That’s the stu- dio’s decision.”
Wanda Sykes Booed, Fans Walk Out After Trump Jokes
Comedian Wanda Sykes enraged some fans at her show in Red Bank, N. J., on Thursday night after she made jokes about Donald Trump, the Asbury Park Press reported.
Sykes opened her set Thursday at Count Basie Center for the Arts going in on Trump’s claim that world leaders didn’t laugh at him during his speech to the United Nations earlier this week, saying, they “weren’t laughing at me, they were laughing with me.”
Sykes noted that if such were the case, “What was the joke he told?”
Attendees reportedly heckled her minutes into the set, with many complaining that her jokes were “too polit- ical.”
“Some audience members objected to the performance content and left,” said Jonathan E. Vena, a spokesman for the Count
Wanda Sykes on Stage dur- ing her show.
Basie Center for the Arts, the report noted.
Local journalist Court- ney Marabella tweeted that the black-ish star asked the audience: “What do you ex- pect? I’m a Black lesbian,” she reportedly said.
“She made her point— she’s a Black lesbian,” Gabby Young told Asbury Park Press. “You knew what you
were gonna get. You should have known that it wasn’t going to be pro-Trump.”
More than a dozen fans reportedly walked out during her set and those who stayed said they were satisfied with the performance.
Sykes, who has long been critical of Trump, was also booed by fans in 2016 for mocking 45 during a per- formance at the TD Garden in Boston.
Sykes apparently was unfazed by the incident, tweeting criticism Sunday of Trump supporter Kanye West.
“Ok...so I think it’s time that we all should just head down to our local precincts and file a restraining order on this,” she tweeted in response to a tweet by Kanye. “...this...help me Lord...uh this troubled individual. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want this fool anywhere near me.”
