Bucs Safety Mike
Tedy Bruschi Says He Is ‘Doing Much Better’ Following Latest Stroke
TEDY BRUSCHI
Former NFL linebacker and current ESPN analyst Tedy Bruschi suffered his second stroke last week, but fortu- nately he appears to be recov- ering well.
On Monday morning, Br- uschi took to Instagram to ed- ucate people about the warning signs of a stroke. The Patriots legend said he is “doing much better” and that he was able to get the help he needed because he immedi- ately identified what was hap- pening.

SHAUN LIVINGSTON Shaun Livingston is

   MIKE EDWARDS
When the Tampa Bay Buc- caneers took Kentucky safety Mike Edwards at the end of the third round, it caused many to scratch their heads. However, Edwards has the potential to become a starter as much as first round pick Devin White and to be a huge sleeper pick for Defen- sive Rookie of the Year.
It has become clear that the Edwards pick has de- fensive coordinator Todd Bowles stamp all over it as he brings a great deal of flex- ibility to play deep over the top of the defense, in the
nickel, and in the box with the big boys. Bowles has thrived with these types of players in Tyrann Mathieu and Jamal Adams throughout his time in the league, and Edwards could be his next star.
In Mathieu’s rookie sea- son, he stuffed the stat sheet with two interceptions, nine passes defended, one sack, and six tackles for loss as Bowles’ hybrid defensive back. Adams produced six passes defended, two sacks, and nine tackles for loss as a rookie under Bowles as well.
Edwards even has the blond hair to match that of Mathieu’s, giving the Buc- caneers their own Honey Badger. Could Bowles get the same amount of produc- tion and utility out of Ed- wards that he got out of Mathieu during their time together with the Arizona Cardinals?
Malik McDowell has seen his once-promising foot- ball career go down the drain because of a non-football in- jury and several legal issues, the most recent of which re- sulted in a police officer using a Taser on the former Michi- gan State star.
McDowell was arrested in Michigan back in February following a traffic stop in which an officer witnessed his jeep speeding and spinning out on a snowy night. The of- ficer asked McDowell to stay seated in his vehicle, but he refused and demanded to speak with a supervisor. The 23-year-old then continued to ignore orders and got out of

the car and started to walk into a convenience store.
McDowell, who is 6-foot- 6 and weighs 300 pounds, then began to tussle with the officer until backup arrived. TMZ obtained surveillance footage from the store and the police dash cam that showed most of the altercation.
 Megan Rapinoe Celebrated
The USWNT World Cup Win
With A Nipsey Hussle Quote
  Antonio Brown
It’s been a few months since LA rapper Nipsey Hussle died, but as he would say, the marathon continues. The “marathon” in this case is the legacy that Nipsey left behind and the inspiration his words continue to give to unexpected recipients. His words still pop up in the most surprising places like the In- stagram captions of interna- tional soccer superstars like Megan Rapinoe, who used an ice-cold Nipsey quote to celebrate the US Women’s National Team World Cup win.
“Ain’t really trip on the credit, I just paid all of my dues
I just respected the game, now my name all in the news Trippin’ on all of my moves, quote me on this, got
a lot more to prove.”
The quote comes from the song “Hussle & Motivate” from Nipsey’s debut (and final) album, Victory Lap. It’s about as perfect a summary of his work ethic and life phi- losophy as it gets: Although Nipsey was never quite as notorious in life as many of his notable peers, he earned respect from big-name rap moguls like Jay-Z and Rick

Ross for his business acu- men and social conscious- ness, eventually receiving as much shine for his money moves, like buying all the businesses on the block he used to hustle on, as for his music.
Likewise, the USWNT’s press coverage tends to take a backseat to other sports un- less they’re agitating for fair wages or preemptively de- clining White House invita- tions, but they’re hard to ignore when they win back- to-back World Cups, earning four titles in total to become the most successful team in the history of the tourna- ment. And if that last bar is anything to judge by, it looks like they’ve already got their sights set on the next big achievement — just as Nipsey would want it.
Antonio Brown has reached a settlement in a law- suit that stemmed from him allegedly throwing furniture off the balcony of a high-end apartment complex last year.
On Tuesday morning, Brown released a statement on Twitter saying the legal dispute between him and Ophir Sternberg — the man who was suing him — has been resolved.
In the since deleted state- ment, Brown said he do- nated a “confidential sum of funds” to a charity and wished Sternberg well. Ac- cording to court documents obtained by TMZ, the settle- ment included a donation to a charity as well as Brown making an undisclosed con- tribution to Sternberg’s son’s college fund.
ANTONIO BROWN Brown was accused of
nearly killing Sternberg’s 22-month-old son by throw- ing furniture off a balcony during a reckless fit of rage. Sternberg later named Brown in a lawsuit seeking $15,000 in damages and claiming the incident trauma- tized him. Brown acknowl- edged that items were thrown off the balcony but said some- one else was responsible.
