Smith is eligible to partic- ipate in all offseason and pre- season practices and games. He will be allowed to return to the team September 30, fol- lowing the team’s Week 4 game at the Los Angeles Rams.

Los Angeles Clippers fans will get to enjoy Kawhi Leonard for at least the next two seasons. Leonard signed a three-year, $103 mil- lion deal with the club Wednesday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
That deal, however, only contains two guaranteed sea- sons. Leonard has a player option for the third year, so he could once again hit the free-agent market following the 2021 season if he chooses.
Interestingly, that would make him a free agent at the same time as Paul George, who the Clippers just ac- quired via trade.
After taking a few days to consider his options, Leonard shocked many

NBA fans and decided to sign with the Clippers. He did this after bringing a champi- onship to the Toronto Rap- tors in his only season with the team.
Last year, the 28-year-old Leonard averaged 26.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game with Toronto.

The former NFL All-Pro de- fensive lineman posted a photo that showed him in a hospital bed.
In the post, Haynesworth says his kidneys have failed him since July 7 and he needs a transplant. He sent a plea for help, reaching out to friends, family and fans for a potential donor.

KELLY OBRE
The Phoenix Suns are bringing back one of the bet- ter players from last year’s team.
The Suns and Kelly Oubre agreed to a two-year, $30 million deal reported on Wednesday night.

In 40 games with the Suns, Oubre averaged 16.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. His season ended in late March because of a thumb injury.
