Oakland Raiders Sign Former Bucs Backup QB Mike Glennon
MIKE GLENNON
The Oakland Raiders have found a replacement for AJ McCarron.
The Raiders announced on Friday that they have signed quarterback Mike Glennon. Glennon should slide in as the team’s backup, behind Derek Carr and in front of Nathan Peterman, who was signed to a reserve/future con- tract.
Glennon spent last season with the Arizona Cardinals and attempted 21 passes in two games. He spent the first four seasons of his career with Tampa Bay, then went to the Chicago Bears in 2017 before landing with Arizona last year. He has passed for 35 touch- downs and 20 interceptions in his NFL career.
Justin Houston Signs With Colts For $24 Million Over Two Years
JUSTIN HOUSTON
The Indianapolis Colts are picking up a major pass rusher for the 2019 season.
The Colts have signed Justin Houston to a two- year deal worth $24 million.
Houston was released by the Kansas City Chiefs in a cost-cutting move and had taken his time to find a new team. Though he’s been lim- ited by injuries and hasn’t come close to his 22-sack sea- son of 2014, he’s still an effec- tive pass-rusher.
Houston had nine sacks in 12 games last season and 9.5 the year before. He also forced five fumbles and had an inter- ception last season.
Rob Gronkowski
   Winston Plans To
Announces Retirement
Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Jameis Winston plans to play at 250 pounds this year. The Buccaneers offense is going to have a different look with head coach Bruce Arians pulling the levers this season and the guy putting the plays into motion is going to have a different look as well.

gust during NFL Training Camp, according to multiple sources.
Dolphins in talks to have joint practices with Buccaneers. Tampa Bay coach Bruce Arians stated that the Bucs are in talks with the Dolphins for a set of joint practices.
Rob Gronkowski said he was going to take some time after the Super Bowl to decide if he wants to continue playing football in 2019, and New England Patriots fans are going to be disappointed with his choice.
On Sunday, Gronkowski announced that he is retiring from playing. He thanked Pa- triots owner Robert Kraft, head coach Bill Belichick and a host of others in a lengthy Instagram post.
There had been reports re- cently that people close to Gronk expected him to keep playing, but he obviously had other plans. The All-Pro tight end has suffered a number of serious injuries throughout his career, and he appeared to be in rough physical condition after the Patriots defeated the

Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl. While Gronkowski and Brady ap- peared to hint at a Gronk re- turn after the big win, it is not a huge shock that the 29-year- old is hanging up the cleats.
Despite retiring at a rela- tively young age, Gronkowski will be a strong candidate for the Hall of Fame. His 79 career touch- downs are tied for 28th all time in NFL history.
  Buccaneers Hire Two
Robert Kraft Issues
From Football
 Full-Time Female
Statement In Wake Of
Assistant Coaches
Prostitution Allegations
Bruce Arians is bring- ing a progressive culture to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Bucs announced on Wednesday that they have hired two women for full- time coaching roles with the team. Maral Javadifar has been hired as an assistant strength and conditioning coach, and Lori Locust was added as an assistant defen- sive line coach. The hires make the Bucs the first NFL team with two full-time fe-
male coaches on staff. Arians said in a state-
ment that he wanted to help the women get their foot in the doors because he knows how difficult that is.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has spoken publicly for the first time since his alleged involve- ment in a sex trafficking scan- dal came to light.
Kraft kept it vague and did not explicitly admit to any wrongdoing, but apologized for hurt and disappointment he’d caused, and vowed to prove himself capable of doing better through his ac- tions.
Kraft’s statement doesn’t really address the legal jeop- ardy he’s still in. He is still re- fusing to admit any guilt, perhaps in part because he wants to do everything he can

to keep NFL-imposed disci- pline against himself or his organization to a minimum. In fact, his attorneys are cur- rently trying a new approach in an effort to get the charges against him thrown out.
Robert Griffin, III Re-Signs With Ravens
Robert Griffin, III had trouble finding work before he signed with the Baltimore Ravens last offseason, and it is clear he made a lasting im- pression with the team.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported on Thursday that the Ravens have agreed to re-sign Griffin on a one- year deal. He was apparently a great influence for rookie Lamar Jackson last sea- son.
Griffin, 29, has a similar style of play to Jackson’s, so it makes sense that the

Ravens like pairing the two together. He also has starting experience in the NFL, which would come in handy if Jackson ever got hurt.
