Shooting At Club Leaves Man Dead
Man Arrested For Attempted Home Invasions
     The Tampa Police De- partment is asking for help to solve a murder. The fatal shooting took place early Sunday morning.
According to police, offi- cers responded to 813 Hookah Lounge, 4809 E. Busch Blvd., shortly after 4 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered that a man had been shot. He was trans- ported to a local hospital, where he died.
At the time of the shoot- ing, there was a crowd out- side of the Hookah Lounge.
anyone who could provide a description of the shooter to come forward. The shooting does not appear to be ran- dom, though a motive remains unclear. They did not identify the victim.
However, posts on social media identified him as 29- year-old Andre Hope.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and is facing several charges. He is accused of several attempted robberies and home invasions in the Carrollwood area.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, around 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 23, Derrick Lamont Walker was walking south- boundonRosemountDriveas a resident on the 10400 block of Rosemount Drive was park- ing his car in his driveway.
Walker allegedly tried to talk to the victim as he was getting his mail. The victim continued walking to his front door when he heard someone run- ning at him from behind. The victim quickly entered his home and realized it was Walker as he turned around to lock the door.
Shortly after, Walker began banging on the front door and turning the door knob in an attempt to get into the residence. Walker then pulled a 9MM Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun and fired one shot through the mostly glass front door of the home. The round penetrated the glass, narrowly missing the victim. Neither of his two fam- ily members inside the home were injured either, police said.
Walker then went to an- other home on Rosemount Drive just a few doors down, where he knocked on
the front door of another victim’s home. The victim answer the front door, at

The victim was leaving the Hookah Lounge with some acquaintances.
Detectives are urging
WALKER pointed a handgun at the victim. The victim immediately closed
and locked his front door.
As deputies began arriving at the location, Walker ob- served them and began to run. He was located while still in possession of the 9MM hand- gun still in his hand, and taken
into custody.
Deputies learned during
the investigation that the handgun was reported stolen from Pasco County.
At this time, Walker is facing charges of attempted robbery home invasion, (3 counts); possession of a firearm during the commis- sion of a felony (2 counts); shooting at within or into a building (3 counts); aggra- vated assault with intent to commit a felony; ag- gravated assault with a deadly weapon; resisting an officer without violence; and openly carrying a weapon.
He is being held at Orient Road Jail without bond. The investigation is continuing.
 Police Search For Man Who Robbed, Shot Elderly Woman
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who robbed an elderly woman at gunpoint on Saturday morning in the Carrollwood area. The offense took place around 6 a.m., in the 4800 block of Grove Point Drive.
The victim who is in her 70s told police she was stand- ing outside of her home feed- ing neighborhood cats when a Black man approached her with a gun demanding money.
The woman handed the
suspect a small amount of cash she had in her pocket. The man began to walk away, but for an unknown reason, the victim followed him down the road. The suspect turned around and pointed his gun at the woman, telling her to get away. The victim proceeded to slap the gun out of the sus- pect’s hand. The gun fired, striking the woman in her leg, police said.
The suspect fled on foot. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office K-9 and Aviation Units responded to
the scene to search for the suspect, described as a young-looking, tall, thin Black man.
The victim was taken to St Joseph’s Hospital Main with non-life threatening injuries. She is in stable con- dition.

  Two Men Wanted For Theft Of Cigarettes
  Early Sunday, March 17, two unknown Black male sus- pects entered the Walgreens, 11115 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, in Seffner. The offense took place shortly before 5:30 a.m.
Once inside the store, the suspects, told the clerk not to move and loaded multiple cartons of cigarettes into three black garbage bags. Both men wore clothing cov- ering their faces.

other Black male entered the
seconds as a lookout, then met with the other two sus- pects outside. A silver minivan, possibly a Dodge Caravan, was observed parked on the east side of the building just prior to the theft, and could be linked to the suspects.
The same suspects com- mitted another cigarette theft approximately 30 minutes prior at the Race- Trac, 810 E. Brandon Boule- vard, in Brandon, police said.
