    Man Charged In Fatal Shooting
 Detectives have arrested a 36-year-old man in connec- tion with a shooting that took place Tuesday evening. The shooting took place in the 3000 block of N. Nebraska Avenue.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers have arrested David Lee Fogg, Jr., and charged him with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated as- sault with a firearm.
He was charged with the murder of Ellis Rountree, Jr., whose body was found on a bench. He was also charged with shooting at two wit- nesses.
Several witnesses re- mained at the scene of the shooting and provided state- ments regarding the shooting.

Witnesses stated that Fogg shot the victim as he lay on the bench.
Following the shooting of Rountree, two people fol- lowed Fogg as he fled the area. During his flight, Fogg fired several rounds at the two people.
During the subsequent fol- low-up investigation, officers recovered a firearm. It was
preliminarily matched to the casings recovered at the homi- cide scene and related shoot- ings. Additional follow-up resulted in recovery of several videos in the area that cap- tured the murder.
Detectives spoke to a wit- ness who recently owned the firearm used in the murder and related shoot- ings. This witness identified Fogg as a person who knew about, and had access to, the firearm.
Additionally, this witness positively identified Fogg via portions of the video surveil- lance recovered. An additional eyewitness to the murder pos- itively identified Fogg.
Fogg was arrested at the intersection of N. Lois Avenue and W. Hillsborough Avenue.
    Man Accused Of Burning Toddler With Hot Water
 A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious injury of a child. The injury took place on February 4th.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Tampa General Hospital the next day. When detectives arrived, they learned the 3-year-old was burned at an apartment on Silver Run Drive, in Tampa. The child suffered several second-degree burns on the lower extremities of his body.
Deputies met with the child’s mother and learned that he had been left in the care of 19-year-old Christo- pher Reddick.
When detectives inter- viewed Reddick, he told them he had boiled water to give the child a bath because he had used all of the hot water for his own shower. He claimed that while he was carrying the water to the bathroom, the victim’s younger sibling walked in front of him and he trip, spilling the water into the tub

and onto the child.
When detectives con-
fronted Reddick, he became argumentative and left.
Emergency Room doctors said the child’s severe burns appear to have been consis- tent with being submerged in scolding hot water.
Reddick was arrested last Wednesday and charged with aggravated child abuse with great bodily harm and child neglect with great bod- ily harm. He was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm with a serial number removed after the gun was found in his pocket, police said.
    Suspects Use Sledgehammer To Break Into Metro PCS
 The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men who knocked a hole through the wall of a Metro PCS Store. They fled the scene without taking anything be- cause the business alarm was activated.
According to police, at ap- proximately 5 a.m., last Thurs- day, deputies were alerted to a burglary alarm sounding at the Metro PCS, 4309 Gunn Highway. They arrived to find a large hole in the back of the business and no suspects on the scene.

tured two suspects approach- ing the business on foot at the time of the incident. The same suspects were seen leaving on foot towards Hubert Avenue shortly before deputies ar- rived. The suspects are be-
lieved to have created the hole in the business with a sledge- hammer. They fled the scene before getting away with any merchandise.
One of the men is de- scribed as a white or Hispanic male, about 5’9” with a medium build. He has short dark hair. The other suspect is described as a Black or dark- skinned Hispanic male.

     Student Arrested For Making False Report Of Gun On Campus
 A 15-year-old student has been arrested and charged with making a false crime re- port of having a gun on cam- pus. The false report was called into 9-1-1 last Tuesday.
Braidan Swaggerty was charged with tampering with physical evidence, misuse of 9-1-1 system, disruption of a school function, and petit theft.
Two schools were placed on lockdown after a report was received about a gun on campus. The male caller told the dispatcher that he was in the bathroom at Barrington Middle School and his friend had a gun.
The dispatcher attempted to obtain more information,
but the caller hung up. The school was notified and Bar- rington Middle School, along with Stowers Elementary School were placed on lock- down.
During the interviews po- lice conducted with Swag- gerty, detectives learned that had stolen another student’s cellphone on Wednesday af- ternoon inside the school gymnasium. Swaggerty took the phone into the gym bath- room, where he placed the hoax 911 call to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office claiming that a friend in the bathroom had a gun.
Swaggerty threw the phone into a toilet before leaving the bathroom.
