Crime
Last week, a former St. Peters- burg police officer pleaded guilty to distribution and possession of child pornography. He is facing a minimum mandatory sentence of 5 years in federal prison.
According to court docu- ments, agents from Homeland Se- curity Investigations (HSI) received a CyberTip from the Na- tional Center for Missing and Ex- ploited Children that an individual had distributed child pornography on a web-based so- cial media application. The inves- tigation led detectives to the home of 34-year-old Matthew Enhof- fer.
On September 11, 2019, HSI agents executed a search warrant at Enhoffer’s home and seized several electronic devices. An ex- amination of Enhoffer’s devices revealed that he possessed ap- proximately 391 images and 7 videos depicting child pornogra- phy, and 293 images of child erot- ica.
The images and videos de- picted young children engaged in sexually explicit conduct. A foren- sic analysis of Enhoffer’s laptop also revealed that he had distrib- uted child sex abuse material to another individual via the internet in June and July 2018.
Man Arrested For Firing Stolen Gun Inside Store
Deputies have arrested a 27- year-old man in reference to an incident involving a stolen weapon and shots fired in a con- venience store.
According to deputies, the man has been identified as Deputies have identified Bruce Alan Renner, who was seen on camera shooting a gun inside a gas station bathroom.
Renner is alleged to have driven a stolen 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck, when he struck the rear of another citi- zen’s vehicle at Fletcher Ave. and Telecom Drive in Tampa, Saturday morning. Renner fled the scene of the accident, but he was located hiding in a shed by HCSO’s Aviation and K-9 Units after his truck broke down and he fled on foot.
The day before, just before 8 a.m., surveillance cameras at a home on Richey Rosa Lane, in Plant City, recorded a white male suspect burglarizing a pickup truck parked in a drive- way.
The suspect was seen exiting the passenger side of an older model pickup truck, opening the unlocked door of another pickup truck. He then took a

pistol and a pair of sunglasses. The suspect got back into his pickup truck, being driven by a woman, and the truck fled south on Thonotosassa Road.
Shortly after, at approxi- mately 8:12 a.m., the same man and woman were seen on sur- veillance video entering the Marathon convenience store at 12901 Highway 92 East. The
man entered the gas station restroom and fired a single round from a handgun.
As the two left the store, the man fired three more rounds from the handgun while in the parking lot before leaving in their pickup truck. The incident occurred across the street from a charter school during school hours.
Detectives have charged Renner with grand theft motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a crash with injury, driving with a suspended license, being a felon in possession of a firearm, 4 counts of discharging a firearm in public, armed burglary of a conveyance, and warrants for grand theft third degree, dealing in stolen property and false in- formation on a pawnbroker form.
He is currently being held at the Falkenburg Road Jail.
