Common Wins 2020 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP
50 Cent Says He Would Never Respond To Nick Cannon: ‘You Suck, Bro’
NEW YORK, NY – 50 Cent is in heavy promo mode for his new ABC crime drama For Life, which premiered on February 11. During a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the seasoned rapper sat down with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and An- gela Yee where the topic of Nick Cannon and Eminem inevitably came up.
The outspoken celebrity said with absolute certainty, he wouldn’t even give Cannon the courtesy of responding to a diss track, which is reportedly the same advice he gave Em- inem when Cannon fired off not one but three diss tracks in Slim Shady’s direction ear- lier this year.
“I would never respond to
50 CENT
Nick Cannon,” he said. “Never. The camera is on, right? He’s legendary corny. He’s been legendary corny. He’s been corny forever, like from the very beginning. I thought at one point he was headed somewhere that was like Will Smith-ish ’cause it was kind of comedy stuff. Then, it just never got to its
destination. It just never got cool.”
When Yee asked if 50 would give Cannon a role in the forth- coming Power spin-off, he con- firmed it’s not out of the question.
“Yeah, if he did a good job,” he said. “He did great in Drumline. He did good in that. Like, I believed him ... as a drummer.”
Charlamagne replied, “The only thing he’s not good at is rapping,” to which 50 said, “I don’t know why he’s so pas- sionate about it. Like, what the hell is going on? Bro, look, you suck, bro. You suck, bro. I’mma just tell you the truth. Like, there was never a mo- ment when you said something and we was like, ‘Ooo, bars.'”
CHICAGO, IL – In a con- test that pitted several cur- rent and former professional athletes together, as well as host of entertainers and fa- mous faces, Common was the best of the best in the 2020 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
The Hip Hop legend added yet another golden award to his mantle on Friday (Febru- ary 14) when he won the game’s MVP trophy after posting 10 points, five re- bounds and five assists.
“I just feel good being home in Chicago,” Com- mon, who served as team captain for his victorious Michael Wilbon-coached squad, exclaimed. “I just wanted to represent for cats like Quentin Richardson [who also played] ... Derrick Rose and all the ballers who come here — [like] Isiah Thomas.”
COMMON
Common then explained how he wore jersey No. 25 in honor of Ben Wilson, the 1980s youth star hooper who was murdered in the city’s streets before he could even finish high school.
“I got some awards but this a great award right here,” he continued, hoisting up the trophy.
Couple Says Argument Over Nicki Minaj And Cardi B Beef Led To Their Breakup
A CLIP FROM DIVORCE COURT
Judge Lynn Toler
couldn’t believe what she was hearing during a recent episode of Divorce Court called “Ungrateful.”
When Toler asked es- tranged couple Don’te and D’Andrew Leaphar what led to their separation, D’An- drew replied, “The Nicki Minaj and Cardi B beef. I’m serious about that.”
He continued, “We were just saying who started what beef and it escalated,” to which Don’te replied, “It was silly.”
Toler then asked which
team Don’te was on — Cardi or Nicki — and Don’te said, “Oh, Cardi all day.” D’Andrew then con- firmed he was “team Barbz all day. Nicki Minaj.”
Don’te admitted there were “underlying issues” prior to their Cardi versus Nicki argument.
“He likes to blame it on that — it wasn’t ‘cause of that,” he said. “He’s ungrate- ful. He’s disrespectful. That was one of the moments where he was disrespectful. You don’t have to get in my face ... you gonna be rude your whole life.”
