Nick Saban, Greg Byrne Test Positive For COVID-19
NICK SABAN
Nick Saban and Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne received positive tests for COVID-19.
Saban does not have any symptoms and actually took a second test to confirm his di- agnosis.
Both men went home to self-isolate after receiving news of their positive tests. So far, they are the only people within the football program who have tested positive.
Aaron Rodgers Had Surprising Comment After Blowout Loss
AARON RODGERS
Players are often frustrated and upset after their team loses, but that was not neces- sarily the case for Aaron Rodgers on Sunday.
Rodgers’ Green Bay Pack- ers got smashed 38-10 in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. Green Bay took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and just got steamrolled after that. A couple of interceptions by Rodgers led to Bucs touch- downs. Tampa Bay’s offense also woke up after that.
So was Rodgers angry about getting crushed in the game? Not really. He was actu- ally happy to get a wake-up call.
“I feel like we needed a lit- tle bit of a wake-up call this season because things had been so good. ... I think we needed a kick in the a– a little bit,” he said.
NFL Reportedly Has No
Plans To Implement
Playoff Bubble
The idea of holding the NFL playoffs in a bubble is one that has been discussed more as positive coronavirus cases keep popping up, but there has been no indication that the league is seriously considering it.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, chief medical officer Dr. Allen Sills, and executive vice president of football oper- ations Trey Vincent took part in a conference call on Tuesday that touched on the subject of a bubble playoff en- vironment. As of now, there is not much support for the idea.
ROGER GOODELL
One reason is that officials believe an outbreak inside a bubble would be disastrous. Another is that they fear what the psychological ramifica- tions would be if players have to be away from their families for the holidays.
What a day it was for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers de- fense, clamping down on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in a domi- nant 38-10 victory at Ray- mond James Stadium on Sunday.
Rodgers was sacked five times and threw his first two interceptions of the season, including just the third pick- six of his entire 16-year NFL career.
He was held to just 160 yards passing and no touch-
downs, completing less than 50 percent of his passes.
The Bucs also shut down the Green Bay ground game, holding Aaron Jones to just 15 yards on 10 carries.
Tampa Bay’s offense pulled their weight, too, espe- cially on the ground. Ronald Jones, II ran for 100 yards for the third game in a row, while Tom Brady took care of the football and managed a mistake-free game that in- cluded no penalties and no turnovers.
Le’Veon Bell Could Wind Up With Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs al- ready have one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL, but they may capitalize on a rare opportunity to add a dynamic playmaker in the middle of the season.
People around the NFL be- lieve the Chiefs are a potential landing spot for Le'Veon Bell, who was released by the New York Jets last Tuesday. The star running back is said to be taking both his potential role in the offense and the op- portunity to win into consider- ation. That’s why many feel the Chiefs make sense.
LE'VEON BELL
wards-Helaire has been im- pressive through the early part of the season, but Andy Reid could certainly find a role for Bell. Reid has used multiple running backs in the past and would likely welcome the op- portunity to do it again if he added a talent like Bell to the roster.

Melvin Gordon Cited
For DUI, Speeding
Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon has found himself in some legal trouble, as he was cited for driving while under the influ- ence on Tuesday.
Gordon was cited by the Denver Police Department late Tuesday night for driving under the influence and speeding. The 27-year-old was cited for driving between 25 and 39 mph over the speed limit.
Gordon is set to be ar- raigned on Nov. 13. The NFL will review the case and could hand down discipline regard- less of what happens.
MELVIN GORDON
Gordon signed with the Broncos this offseason and is coming off his best game with the team. He rushed for 107 yards and scored two touch- downs on 23 carries in a Thursday night win over the New York Jets nearly two weeks ago.
