Man Killed At Park While Tournament Underway
Two Men Charged With Armed Robberies
The Pasco County Sher- iff’s Office is continuing its investigation of a fatal shoot- ing. The incident took place Saturday afternoon at the Samuel Pasco Athletic Park in Zephyrhills.
The 9-1-1 call was received shortly before 1 p.m., Satur- day. The victim died at the scene.
Police said it took place while children were partici- pating in a football tourna- ment. No other injuries were reported.
According to police, the victim has been identified as 32-year-old Carl Branch, of Fort Myers. He was in the parking lot at the park when unknown Black males in a white 4-door Nissan sedan drove into the parking lot. Police said they have not de- termined why Branch was targeted and do not believe the shooting was a random

act. The suspects may be from the Fort Myers area.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identifica- tion and arrest of the un- known suspect(s) involved in this case.

Two men were taken into custody Monday in reference to separate armed robberies. The robberies took place at convenience stores.
According to Tampa Po- lice, the first incident took place at the Super 7 Store, 4808 E. Broadway, around 4:45 p.m. Two men entered the store and robbed it at gunpoint before fleeing the scene.
A short time later, two suspects entered the Liberty Gas Station, 3401 E. Lake Av- enue, where they robbed it and fled the scene.
Police on patrol spotted their vehicle outside the Lib- erty Gas Station, shortly after the robbery. The officers pur-

sued the vehicle and it crashed a short time later. A perimeter was established and both suspects were ar- rested near the intersection of E. Lake Avenue and N. 29th Street.
The suspects have been identified as Tyee Spike, 18, and 22-year-old Jeffrey

Since October 13th, the City of Tampa and Hillsbor- ough County have been inves- tigating a string of robberies. They believe the men may be linked to several other rob- beries that took place in the city and Hillsborough County.
Police Need Help To Identify Man Found In River
The body of an unidentified man was discovered in the Hillsborough River near the 8100 block of N. Florida Avenue on September 22, 2020.
The Tampa Police Depart- ment is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man found floating face down in the Hillsborough River on September 22nd.
The man was described as a Black man, 5’9” and weigh- ing 135 pounds. He has black curly hair and a beard and moustache. He was wearing
blue shorts and a black shirt. The man has a surgical scar on his abdomen, his left ear is pierced and he was wearing an organ rubber wristband that states, “Pray First.”
