Cam Newton Walked To Panthers Stadium In His Pajamas
CAM NEWTON
Cam Newton isn’t just
ready for Week 1 of the NFL, he’s pajama ready!
The Carolina Panthers quarterback is noted for the outfits that he wears to his postgame press conferences. But for Sunday's season-open- ing game, the former Auburn standout was turning heads with his pregame attire.
The Carolina Panthers and Newton beat the Dallas Cow- boys, 16-8.
Le’Veon Bell Says He Was Not Shading Steelers With Tweet; Leaves $850,000 On Table
LE’VEON BELL
Le’Veon Bell appeared to troll the Pittsburgh Steelers during the team’s Week 1 tie with the Cleveland Browns, but he says that was not the case.
Just around the time the Steelers tied with the Browns 21-21, Bell sent a tweet that contained a single emoji — the monocled emoji: By not show- ing up to game, Bell left $850,000 on the table. Will he sit out next week. If so, his agent needs to be fired for ad- vising him to sit out.
Many interpreted that as Bell’s way of pointing out what the team is missing by not having him. However, Bell says the tweet was not in- tended to be disrespect to the Steelers, but rather an indica- tion of his amazement over seeing a game end in a tie.

Saints 48-40

backpedaled giddily for about 20 yards as he watched DeSean Jackson come down with a 36-yard touch- down pass over the middle. The journeyman quarterback then turned toward the Tampa Bay Buccaneers side- line and triumphantly thrust his arm in an upward arc.
Time will tell if the Bucs are on a similar trajectory this season, but there's no denying they're off to an en- couraging start.
Fitzpatrick highlighted a 417-yard, four-touchdown performance with two scor- ing strikes of more than 50 yards, and the Buccaneers stunned the Saints 48-40 on Sunday.
"I'm happy to announce: FitzMagic is alive and well," Tampa Bay coach Dirk Koetter said of his 35-year- old reserve quarterback, who was starting for suspended 2015 first-overall draft choice Jameis Winston.
Fitzpatrick completed 21 of 28 passes without an in- terception and also ran for a short touchdown, bowling

over free safety Marcus Williams on his way into the end zone.
Coming off a playoff ap- pearance and hosting a team that won only five games last season, the Saints were among the more heavily fa- vored teams in Week 1. But some of the Saints' defensive players who were instrumen- tal in New Orleans' success a season earlier had a miser- able start to 2018.
Jackson caught scoring passes of 58 and 36 yards to highlight his five-catch, 146- yard day before leaving with a concussion.
Fitzpatrick also threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Chris Godwin.
Colin Kaepernick has said very little publicly since he started the trend of kneel- ing during the national an- them two years ago, but the free agent quarterback appre- ciates his fellow players re- maining committed to the cause.
On Sunday, Miami Dol- phins wide receivers Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson took a knee during the an- them, which they also did last
season. Kaepernick took note and applauded their “courage.”
Stills has been very vocal in supporting Kaepernick, and he recently applauded Nike for launching an ad cam- paign centered around the former San Francisco 49ers star. The campaign commem- orates the 30th anniversary of the “Just Do It” slogan, and it includes a powerful TV com- mercial.
   The Bears Gave Aaron Rodgers
 Delanie Walker’s Brutal
The Green Bay Packers were able to pull off an early candidate for comeback of the year over the Chicago Bears on Sunday night at Lambeau Field, further prov- ing he has no limits.
The Packers entered the fourth quarter down 20-3, and were able to tie the game after an Aaron Rodgers pass to Randall Cobb.
Prior to that, Rodgers injured his knee in the first half.
Rodgers had briefly left the game, after being hit on a third down play early in the second quarter. DeShone Kizer would come in for the Packers, and completed 4 of 7 passes for 55 yards, but he also lost a fumble and gave up a pick-six, both to Khalil Mack.
Thankfully for the Pack- ers, Rodgers made a return. He was able to piece to- gether scores to get the Pack- ers back into the football
game.
After the Packers got a
field goal in the third quarter, Rodgers hit Geronimo Al-
 Injury Against The Dolphins
Is A Huge Loss For The Titans
Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker suf- fered what looked to be a sea- son-ending injury against the Miami Dolphins. Walker’s leg was fallen on while he was being tackled by a Dol- phins defender and he was unable to get up.
A cart was immediately brought out for Walker and an air cast was put over his leg. That’s usually a sign of a potential bone fracture, which was part of his diagno- sis.
Walker has been one of the most consistent receiving options for the Titans over the past few years. Since 2014, Walker has surpassed 800 yards in every season in- cluding a 1,088-yard season in 2015. Losing him is a huge blow to a Titans offense that’s relying on a lot of young players to carry the

passing game.
Walker wasn’t the only
Titans offensive player to get hurt in their 27-20 loss that spanned over 7 hours. Quar- terback Marcus Mariota was hurt twice and offensive tackle Taylor Lewan also exited the game with an in- jury.
It was a tough day for the Titans.
Hopefully the 34-year-old Walker is able to continue his career in the future.

lison for a 39-yard touch- down to make it a 20-10 game.
Later, Rodgers was able to find Davante Adams to mke it a 20-17 game, and the heat was back on the Bears.
Ultimately, that got the Packers to the go-ahead score that Rodgers deliv- ered to Randall Cobb.
The Chicago Bears showed promise on Sunday night. Khalil Mack showed that he was worth the trade that the Bears made with the Raiders, which is great for them.
But Aaron Rodgers did what he does.
