Police Search For ‘Person Of Interest’ In Murder
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a person of interest in a murder. The murder took place last Thursday.
According to police, deputies responded to 7702 E. Sligh Avenue, in reference to a deceased person. When they arrived, the victim was found dead inside a mobile home. He has since been identified as 66-year-old Michael Stephey. Follow- ing an investigation, the death has been ruled a homi- cide.

weighs about 160 pounds. Detectives were also look- ing for Stephey’s white, 4- door 1990 Lincoln Town Car. However, the vehicle has been located and the alert was cancelled. It was found aban-

Twin Brothers Convicted In Gas Station Skimmer Case
Last Tuesday, a federal judge sentenced a man for credit card fraud and identity theft. He and his twin brother were found guilty by a federal jury on April 24, 2018.
U. S. District Judge Charlene Edwards Hon- eywell sentenced Yoel Graveran-Palacios, 37, of Tampa, to 9 years in prison for conspiracy, credit card fraud, and identity theft. His twin brother, Noel Grav- eran-Palacious, is sched- uled to be sentenced on September 19, 2018.

eran-Palacios worked to- gether, and with others, to place skimmers on gas pumps in the Tampa Bay area. Using the account numbers stolen from the skimmers, they made coun- terfeit credit cards and then used them to purchase mer- chandise including gas, toys, clothes, and gift cards, at area retailers.

They then used the gift cards to purchase merchan- dise at home improvement stores, and later returned the items for cash.
Trial evidence included hundreds of recovered stolen account numbers, as well as dozens of store surveillance videos featuring the conspir- ators using the counterfeit credit cards.
