Jameis Winston Reacts To Bruce Arians Becoming The Coach Of The Tampa Bay Bucs
JAMEIS WINSTON AND BRUCE ARIANS
Chiefs Guard Jeff Allen Rewards Homeless Man Who Helped Him
JEFF ALLEN AND DAVE COCHRAN
Kansas City Chiefs guard Jeff Allen was on his way to Arrowhead Stadium ahead of Saturday's playoff game against the Colts and his car got stuck in the snow. But thanks to the kindness of a homeless man, Allen was soon on his way to work. But he didn't forget the gesture and early Sunday morning took to Twitter to try to find him.
Dave Cochran is now headed to the AFC Champi- onship Game Sunday when the Chiefs host the Patriots. But there's more to the story: Cochran lives in his truck with his girlfriend and his dog.
Cochran may not have known Allen but he sensed that the offensive lineman was- n't accustomed to driving in such conditions.
"I was driving down (U.S.) 40 highway and saw a couple cars stuck," Cochran said. "I pulled one car out before that then I saw another car stuck and I told my old lady, 'We have to help him,' Cochran ex- plained to KSHB's Steven Dial.
"I went to help him then he told me he was a Chiefs player. I didn't know he was a Chiefs player. I looked at him as a nor- mal person, and hoped he would do the same for me like I did for him."
Where Will Patrick Mahomes Rank Among The Quarterbacks Tom Brady Has Faced In The AFC Title Game?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Win- ston sounded very excited about new head coach Bruce Arians with some recent comments.
Arians was hired about a week ago to take over the Bucs, and his quarterback is clearly a fan.
“It means a lot to me, man. And that’s just how he is, he stands behind his players and I’m happy our team gets to see that side of him. And I just can’t wait to get in the build- ing and work with him,” Win-
ston told the Tampa Bay Times Monday when dis- cussing Arians’ praise of the young gunslinger.
It sure is amazing how quickly things can change in the NFL. There was a point this season where it seriously looked like Winston might not even be on the roster in 2019.
Now, it looks like he’s locked in with Arians run- ning the show. It’s likely not a whole lot of people saw this coming in September or Octo- ber.
PATRICK MAHOMES, JR. AND PATRICK MAHOMES, II
We know a lot about Patrick Mahomes, budding superstar NFL quarterback. Just not as much as we will know, perhaps soon.
We know he’s been down- right awesome in his second NFL season and first as a starter, joining Tom Brady and Peyton Manning as the only quarterbacks to throw 50 touchdown passes in a single season. We know he throws the best no-look pass since Larry Bird. We know he has a good nature, a great hairdo, and a voice like Kermit the Frog.
We might even know that his dad, Pat, had a 6.85 ERA in two seasons as a Red Sox re- lief pitcher. Maybe he should have been a quarterback too.
What we don’t know, as he prepares to take on the great- est of all-time Brady and the Patriots in Sunday’s AFC Championship game, is
PATRICK MAHOMES, II VS. TOM BRADY
whether he’s ready for this moment. He was very good in the Chiefs’ thumping of the Colts in the divisional round, but for the first time since Week 4 he did not throw a touchdown pass, and in fact it was just the third game this season that he did not throw multiple touchdown passes. We don’t know how he will fare in cold weather, or in as- sorted other circumstances presented in the playoffs.
To put it another way: This will be his 19th NFL start. This will be Brady’s 39th postsea- son start. We know all there is to know about Brady. Ma- homes is a revelation, but one not yet fully revealed.
Mahomes will be the eighth different quarterback to duel Brady in an AFC Cham- pionship game. His career is ahead of him, but Sunday will bring a clue on how he might ultimately rate among them.

 Marvel At Drew Brees'
Work Ethic As He Turns 40
  Age is just a number.
It’s a popular saying, and over the past couple weeks, it was a common refrain from New Orleans Saints players as they discussed quarterback Drew Brees, who turns 40 on Tuesday. This Sunday, Brees will be up against a fearless Los Angeles Rams de- fense led by Aaron Donald.
Whenever new players join the Saints, they see just how ageless Brees is when he puts his incredible physical fitness on display in the conditioning test that precedes training camp each year.
“With a lot of us tired, he breezes through them like that’s his last name, really,” said linebacker Craig Robertson, who joined the

Saints three years ago.
“He said, ‘You’re not going
to like this, but you’re not going to have a choice,’” Brees said, recounting the conversation.
Brees is considered one of the best teammates in the league. "He reaches out to everyone on the team."
