    Michael Jackson’s Estate Sues Disney
Michael Jackson’s estate sued ABC on Wednesday, argu- ing that a special the network aired last week about the pop singer’s final days used his songs and music videos with- out permission.
The copyright infringement lawsuit, which also names ABC’s corporate parent Walt Disney Co. as a defendant, was filed in Los Angeles federal court and took aim at “The Last Days of Michael Jackson,” a two-hour show broadcast on May 24.
The lawsuit seeks unspeci- fied damages.
“Like Disney, the lifeblood of the estate’s business is its intel- lectual property,” the com- plaint said. “Yet for some reason, Disney decided it could just use the estate’s most valu- able intellectual property for free.”

The estate raised objections
to the show before it aired . Ac- cording to the lawsuit, a lawyer for Disney told the estate the special’s use of copyrighted music was “fair use” because of its documentary nature, an ar- gument the estate called “ab- surd.”

J. Cole’s childhood home in Fayetteville, N.C. was re- portedly vandalized.
An unidentified person spray-painted the words “J.Cole...Do you even care about the ville?” in black, and the photo was shared to both Twitter and Facebook. The words have reportedly been painted over, however, local
police did not say that the tag- ging was a reported incident. There are no named suspects nor a reported motive.
According to reports, the KOD rapper reportedly repurchased his childhood home in 2014, and planned to help single mothers and their families.
“So every two years, a new
family will come in and live rent-free,” he detailed to Combat Jack in 2014. “The idea is that it’s a single mother with multiple kids. I want her kids to feel how I felt when we got the house.” The home was featured on the cover of Cole’s album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive.
Following the star-studded listening party for Kanye West’s new album, ‘Ye’, opera- tors of the Diamond Cross Ranch, where Kanye held his party, have announced a ban from rappers throwing any- more events on the premises.
According to a new report on The Blast, Jane Golliher, who operates the ranch in Morean, Wyoming says there will be “no more rappers” after what turned out to be a confus-
ing and unorganized night for staff.
Golliher says Kanye’s lis- tening party turned out to be the “most confusing” event that the ranch has ever handled.
Changes were reportedly made every 30 minutes, in- cluding where the party was supposed to take place.
Additionally, Golliher claims that she and her team received far too many noise complaints from neighbors.
