Warriors Star Stephen Curry Passes Ray Allen To Become All-Time 3-Point Leader
Jimmy Lake Fired By
Steph Curry has offi- cially done it. The Golden State Warriors superstar has finally overtaken legendary shooter Ray Allen in career made three-point shots in the regular season and the playoffs, and he did it in re- markable fashion.
Curry’s record-breaking three came in the second quarter of Warriors’ game against the Chicago Bulls. He hit a contested three (typical Stephen Curry things) over Bulls guard Alex Caruso to grab the record over the former Boston sharpshooter (via ESPN).
After Incident
  RAY ALLEN AND STEPH CURRY
Jimmy Lake was fired by Washington on Sunday, a week after an incident where he got physical with a player on the sidelines.
Lake was seen pushing one of his players on the side- lines during a 26-16 loss to Oregon. Washington later sus- pended Lake one game over the incident. The suspension took place on Saturday, and Lake was fired on Sunday. He never coached Washington again after the Oregon loss.
Lake did a few things that game to embarrass the pro- gram, beyond pushing his player. He inexplicably punted late in the game. He was also

trolled over a recruiting com- ment he made earlier in the week.
Lake’s firing was likely 90 percent due to performance. The other 10 percent likely stemmed from the incident and the recruiting comments, which brought embarrass- ment to the school.
What’s highly impressive about Curry’s record is that he did it in significantly less time than Allen.
StatMuse noted that the Warriors superstar reached Allen’s record of 3, 358
three-point makes in 585 less games.
That’s a testament to how great Curry’s shooting has been, that he beat the record in more than five seasons’ worth of games.
Klay Thompson Now Has Clearer Return Timetable?
Scottie Pippen Says Michael Jordan
Washington 1 Week
The Golden State War- riors may be zeroing in on a release date for Klay Thompson: The Return.
Boardroom’s Jordan Schultz reported on Satur- day that Thompson is mak- ing steady progress and is about five to six weeks away from returning. Schultz adds that Thompson is in

“great shape” and is close to playing 5-on-5.
Thompson, who has not played since June 2019, has already been creating some serious buzz about his re- turn. But the Warriors are an NBA-best 11-1 this season and are getting strong pro- duction out of the shooting guard spot from Jordan Poole, Gary Payton, II, and Damion Lee. There- fore, they have the luxury of bringing Thompson along slowly.
Regardless, five to six weeks would put Thomp- son’s return date some time in mid-to-late December. Christmas Day would mark six weeks exactly. That means that the Warriors could have a lot more than presents to look forward to this holiday season.
'Ruined Basketball'
SCOTTIE PIPPEN AND MICHAEL JORDAN
Scottie Pippen's mem- oir 'Unguardable' is finally out, and we're learning how he really felt about Michael Jordan during these years. The former small forward seemed to have a pretty good relationship with MJ during their time in Chicago, but Scottie has made sure to shut that down.
A couple of months ago, he went off on Jordan by claiming MJ wouldn't have made it to the Finals without him. Pippen also took shots at Phil Jackson, saying he was racist for picking Toni Kukoc to take a last-gasp shot over him.
That was only a preview of what was coming, as Pippen still has some things to get off his chest. The Chicago Bulls legend had strong things to
say about Jordan in his book by even saying that Mike 'ru- ined basketball' for refusing to pass, rebound or guard the best player on the opposing team.
“I may go as far to say Mike ruined basketball,” Pippen wrote. “In the 80s on the playgrounds you’d have everyone moving the ball around — passing to help the team. That stopped in the 90s. Kids wanted to be ‘Like Mike.’ Well, Mike didn’t want to pass — didn’t want to rebound, or defend the best player. He wanted everything done for him. That’s why I al- ways believed LeBron James was the greatest player this game has ever seen — he does everything and embodies what the game is truly about.”
