MS. ELLIS YVONNE JONES
A Private Memorial Service will be held for Ms. Ellis Yvonne Jones who passed on November 8, 2021.
Ms. Ellis Yvonne Jones was on born April 20th, 1948 in Adel, GA, to the late Willie T. Jenkins and Marjorie Mathis. She at- tended schools in Georgia and Florida and graduated from Mid- dleton High School, Class of 1966. Shortly after high school she pursued her passion for dec- orating and design and attended art and design schools in both Tallahassee and Tampa, Florida.
Ellis was a mother of two daughters, Tuesday Fredricks (Marco, II) and Janu’ Jones; 4 grandchildren: Marco Fredricks, III, Malachi Fredricks, Jeremiah Jones and Jordyn Calhoun.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie T. Jenkins and Marjorie Mathis; nephew, Zachary Butler and great-great nephew, Javon Mitchell.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her daughters, Tuesday (Marco, II) Fredricks and Janu’ Jones; grandchildren, Marco Fredricks, III, Malachi Fredricks, Jeremiah Jones and Jordyn Calhoun; sisters, Willie Mae (Cornelius) Mutcherson, Margaret Butler and Rosalinda Davis; brother, Tommy Jenkins; aunts and uncles, Rose Adkins, James (Pree) Jenkins, Mary Gammage, Martha (Sam) Wil- son, nieces and nephews, William Butler, Jr., Gail Mutch- erson, Edward Wright, Eric (Va- lerie) Mutcherson, Lyndon Jenkins, Desiree’ Peacock (Robert), Miranda Wheatley, Monica Green (Darrell), Donnie Smith, Arviel (Luciana) Jenkins, Thursday Butler, Antwonette Boatwright, Tara (Justin) Robin- son, Crystal Jenkins and Antrilla Jenkins; a host of great-nieces, great nephews and friends.

MR. MICHAEL (‘MIKE’) EDWIN OWENS, SR.
Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Michael “Mike” Edwin Owens, Sr., who went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2021, will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 2 p. m., at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Reverend Fred Sanders, Officiating. He will be interred at a National Ceme- tery at a later date with Military Honors.
Mr. Michael “Mike “Edwin Owens, Sr. was born on August 22, 1964 in Columbus, Georgia, to the parentage of Freddie J. Owens, Sr. and Willie Mae Hamil- ton Owens. He was raised on sev- eral military bases as a child. He was baptized as a teenager. After the family moved to Tampa, he was educated in the Hillsborough County School System and gradu- ated from Tampa Bay Vocational- Tech in 1982; where he was trained in radio/TV and electron- ics. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served the entirety of his 3- year enlistment at Ft. Sill, OK, where he was honorably dis- charged.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Freddie J. Owens, Sr.; grandparents, Saint Nazier Owens, Georgia Owens, John Willie Hamilton and Polly Hamil- ton; his aunt, Ernestine Hamilton Dunn; uncles, Jerome Owens, Raymond Owens and Alfonso Owens.
He leaves to cherish memo- ries of him with: his children, Lea Cotton (Austin, TX), Ashley Owens, Natassia Walker-Fessler (David), Michael E. Owens, Jr., Shalandra Walker Pinckney, Keith Walker and Xavier Walker; 12 grandchildren; his loving mother, Willie Mae Kingcade; stepfather, Albert Kingcade “Pop”; his devoted fiance’, Stephanie Walker; his sisters, Helen Turner (Charles) and Michelle Owens; his brothers, Mark Nazier Owens (Pam), Fred- die J. MRS. MARION YORK WASHINGTON
A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Marion York Washington will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11 a. m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cy- press Street, Tampa, Florida, Dr. Calvin Williams, Pastor, with Dea- con Michael L. Wright, Officiating and Reverend John T. Warren, Pas- tor of Foundation Fellowship Chris- tian Church, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Marion York Washington was born in Coleman, Florida on Febru- ary 18, 1919. She was a devoted and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, great- great-great grandmother, and by all accounts, a true force of nature.
On March 20, 1941, Marion York married the late Booker T. Washington, a quiet tower of strength, devoted to his bride and new family. Marion’s son, Booker Bernard Washington and daughter, the late Ethel Harris were blessed to have these two faithful servants as parents. The generations that followed have been blessed to have Marion as a wealth of knowledge and a deep well of love.
On Friday, November 5, 2021, Marion departed this life to be with the Lord.
From her humble beginnings toiling in the agricultural fields of South Florida, to her later days as a housekeeper, Marion was no stranger to hard work. She believed in equal parts discipline and love. Generations of family and friends can attest that she was part of the village that helped raise them. Even after losing her beloved Booker T. so many years ago, she continued to cook for, care for, and help nurture not only her family, but generations of kids in the neighborhood, who are now adults with kids of their own. Marion was a member of Beu- lah Baptist Institutional Church and constantly shared her love of the Lord through song and word.
Marion leaves to cherish her memories with: a loving son, Booker Bernard Washington; three devoted grandsons, Howard Har- ris, Keith Harris (Monica) and Andre Washington (Jackie); eight great-grandchildren, Dorian (Joyce), Brian (Marie), Alicia Joy, Michael, Jonathan, Stephen, Krista and Camryn; six great-great-grand- children, Jessica, Jasmine, Andre, Jasmyn, Jayla and Jalisa, and five great-great-great grandchildren, Jacari, Josaih, Ja’nae, Jour’nee and Jay’la.
The visitation for Mrs. Wash- ington will be held on Friday, No- vember19,2021from3p.m.to8p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street Tampa, FL 33605.

        SISTER EVERGREEN NEAL
Homegoing Celebration for Sister Evergreen Neal, who passed on November 8, 2021, will be held on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 at 11 a. m., at Greater New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 1605 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, Florida with Rev. Dr. Benjamin Curry, Of- ficiating. Sister Neal will be in- terred in Antioch Cemetery, Gordon, Alabama.
Sister Evergreen Neal was born September 24, 1933 in Gor- don, Alabama to Joseph and Mary Melton. She moved to Tampa, Florida in 1957 and lived here until her demise.
Sister Neal was a devoted Christian, and she loved her church. Sister Neal joined Greater New Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida in 1969. While at Greater New Salem she was a member of the Senior Usher Board, Number 2 Choir, Mission Board, Youth Ministry, Hospital- ity Ministry, and many other min- istries in the church.
During her time in service at New Salem, she served under Rev. R. H. Howard, Rev. Lane and the presiding Pastor Curry.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Joseph and Mary Melton; son, Edward Melton;
