3 Naked Women ‘Air Drying’ Jailed After Police Chase
Three young women were taken into custody Wednes- day after leading Florida Highway Patrol troopers on a chase. They are facing several charges.
They have been identified as Ms. Oasis Shakira McLeod, 18; Ms. Jeniyah McLeod, 19; and Ms. Ce- cilia Eunique Young, 19.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, they re- ceived a call at approximately 11:15 a.m., about three naked women at a rest stop. When Trooper Danielle Poulin arrived at the location on I-75 northbound, just south of State Road 54, she ap- proached the three Black women.
The women told Trooper Poulin that they had showered and they were “air drying.” When Trooper Poulin attempted to gather information from the women, they reportedly jumped in a 2009 Nissan Sentra and fled through the rest area entrance.
They then turned north- bound on I-75, heading to- ward State Road 52.

Trooper Poulin cancelled her pursuit because the situa- tion did not meet the Florida Highway Patrol’s pursuit pol- icy.
A short time later, Florida Highway Patrol received a call from its *347 reporting a vehicle’s reckless driving. The caller remained on the line and provided updates to police.
As the vehicle turned east on State Road 52, Trooper Christopher Brando lo- cated it and observed the reckless driving. He was able to deploy projectiles that allow law enforcement to

The vehicle was tracked to a convenience store at the corner of State Road 52 and Curlew Road, where it was discovered empty. The women had gone inside the store.
As they returned to the vehicle, Trooper Poulin at- tempted to take one of the women into custody who had not gotten back to the vehi- cle.
At that point, the driver is said to have purposely drove in the direction of the trooper. Trooper Poulin

Sgt. Dennis Rich
rammed the suspect’s vehicle after observing the other trooper in danger. The vehi- cle fled again on State Road
52.
At that point a pursuit
was initiated and Dade City Police joined the chase. The right tires on the vehicle were deflated because of the stop sticks used.
Trooper Brando was able to PIT the vehicle and brought the pursuit to an end at State Road 52 and 21st Street, in Dade City. The women refused to get out of the vehicle and locked arms together.
At that point, Trooper Poulin broke the windows in the vehicle and all three were tased and taken into custody. They were trans- ported to the Pasco County Jail, where all three were booked on several charges.
Several troopers received minor injuries in the inci- dent, police said.
