Eminem’s road to recovery began in December 2007 when he almost died from a drug overdose. After a night of heavy using, Em collapsed in his bath- room was rushed to the hospital. Doctors informed him he’d con- sumed the equivalent of four bags of heroin and was “about two hours from dying.”
As a result, Slim Shady ulti- mately decided to put the pre- scription drugs down 11 years ago and he’s been clean ever since. He celebrated the mile- stone on Saturday (April 20) with a Twitter post of his 11-year coin from a 12-step program.
“11 years,” he wrote in the caption. “still not afraid.”
To help him stay clean, Slim Shady became an avid runner. His weight had ballooned to 230 pounds while he was using and he was surviving on a steady diet of fast food. At one point, he was running up to 17 miles a day.
According to a 2015 Billboard article, Em opened up to Men’s Journal about how he combated addiction with exercise.

Travis Scott reportedly lost a giant lawsuit this week. Ac- cording to TMZ, a jury awarded entertainment events company PJAM $382,932.79 after they sued the Astroworld architect in March 2018 for missing a gig in Minnesota on Super Bowl weekend.
The Houston-bred artist’s at- torney, Howard King, wasn’t exactly pleased by the outcome. “The jury verdict of $383,000 is disappointing, but far less than the seven figure demands made by the promoters,” King said. “We believe the verdict will be substantially reduced or over- turned in subsequent proceed- ings.”
PJAM claimed they originally gave Scott a $150,000 advance and provided him with a private jet. But only a few hours before the show, he backed out.

Man Shot Alongside Nipsey Hussle

Released from Jail, Has Arrest Dismissed
Kerry Lathan, 56, was on parole when he was shot alongside Los Angeles rapper and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias As- ghedom, on March 31.
Lathan was with Hussle when he was slain in front of his Marathon Clothing store in Hyde Park. Because he was on parole, and because Hussle maintained a well-known affil- iation with the Rollin 60’s Neighborhood Crips, Lathan was in violation of his agree- ment not to be around known gang members.
Lathan, who spent 25 years in prison for murder, went to Marathon Clothing to get a leg up from Hussle, who was known to support local businesses and individuals

It Looks Like ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Will Not Be The Final Film Of Marvel’s Phase Three After All
Ever since Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and his Sony Pictures counterpart, Amy Pascal, revealed that Spider-Man: Far From Home would take place mere “min- utes” after the events of Avengers: Endgame, many as- sumed that the latter would be the end of Marvel’s so-called “Phase Three.” The Spider- Man: Homecoming sequel, then, would operate as the offi- cial beginning of “Phase Four.” According to comments Feige made at a fan event in Shang- hai, however, that is not the case at all.
As noted by Screen Rant, Feige was speaking with a re- porter at the Chinese Avengers: Endgame event when he made his big revelation. “It’s the end of the third phase,” he said of Far From Home. “You’re the first one I’ve told that to.”
AVENGERS: ENDGAME
That an Avengers film would not mark the end of a Marvel phase shouldn’t be all that sur- prising. Aside from 2012’s The Avengers, which officially brought the first phase of the studio’s burgeoning superhero cinematic empire to a close, no other tentpole team-up has
done the same. For example, Avengers: Age of Ultron was not the official end of “Phase Two.” The first Ant-Man film was. Nor, for that matter, was Avengers: Infinity War the end of anything in Marvel’s calen- dar.
Feige has promised that the studio’s future plans will be ar- riving “relatively soon.” Now that he’s revealed the true na- ture of Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s place in it all, it seems that he wasn’t lying. What’s more, since we now know that the Homecoming sequel is going to officially bring “Phase Three” to a close, one could sur- mise that it will contain one or more major elements that will pay off in future “Phase Four” films — just as Ant-Man‘s in- troduction of the “quantum realm” will presumably do for Endgame.
