Jameis Winston Takes
Blazers Reportedly Trade Evan Turner To Atlanta For Kent Bazemore
EVAN TURNER AND KENT BAZEMORE
Evan Turner reportedly has a new home back east.
According to Adrian Woj- narowski of ESPN, the Port- land Trail Blazers will trade Turner to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Kent Baze- more.
This is essentially a swap of veteran wings who are enter- ing contract years, but Baze- more should be a nice fit in Portland, a team with playoff ambitions in a potentially wide-open Western Confer- ence. He’s a good defender who can shoot from three fairly capably.
Turner, a reserve for Port- land last year, essentially be- comes a veteran leader on a young Atlanta team with a gift for a good quote from time to time.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Gets Emotional In MVP Speech
GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO
Giannis Antetokoun- mpo really nailed it with his acceptance speech upon win- ning NBA MVP on Monday night.
The Greek Freak was the runaway winner of the award, winning it easily over James Harden, who was the only other player to receive first- place votes. Giannis’ MVP speech really could not have been better.
The Milwaukee Bucks star got emotional as he went through thanking people, es- pecially his family.
That speech is exactly why Antetokounmpo is almost unanimously loved in the NBA.

Kids On Unforgettable
A group of local kids loaded up in two vans in Bessemer and took a trip up to Etowah County to join Jameis Winston for what turned out to be an unforget- table fishing trip. Jameis says he wanted them to get back to nature and discover their greatness in a relaxing atmosphere.
The kids got to enjoy them- selves on the 63-acre prop- erty of the Keenum Lakes and Hunting Lodge. Owner Kenny Keenum says they came as guests and left as friends. He opened the lodge a little more than five years ago and enjoys hosting kids for the experience that they may not get in daily lives.
Some learned how to fish for the first time, and they enjoyed other activities such as corn hole, riding a four- wheeler, or petting horses while feasting on burgers and hot dogs, even a taste of the deer jerky.
It was the culmination of the Jameis Winston Founda- tion Dream Forever Week. The week began with Shop with a Jock at Dicks Sporting
JAMEIS WINSTON
Goods on Monday, On Wednesday Jameis spoke to the young and old at the Bessemer Library and made a $5000.00 donation. He and his personal trainer, Otis Leverette, worked out with football players at Hueytown High School, on Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, 200 of the top high school recruits across Alabama took part in an exposure camp at Miles College. Many of Jameis' NFL buddies helped with the camp including former Ala- bama players Marlon Humphrey and O. J. Howard.
On Friday, younger kids got to learn football funda- mentals at a football camp at Hueytown High School.
The white girlfriend of Black New England Patriots player Obi Melifonwu an- nounced she terminated her employment after being called “unclean” by her bosses because she dates Black men.
Alyssa Okada, 24, took to her Instagram Story on Thursday (June 20) to reveal to her followers why she quit her job with Platinum Fit- ness in Fort Myers, Florida.
According to Okada, she was told by others at the gym the CEO and another man made racist remarks about her relationship with the NFL player. She also posted a screenshot of the Facebook conversation which shows a short dialogue with one man writing, “She’s [qualified] but she dates black men,” to which her boss replied, “un- clean.”
Okada says the men have since apologized, but she’s not accepting it. “It's not a f*****g mistake. This is how you feel, this is how you think. You're just sorry you got caught,” she said in her IG video. “If someone says something that’s flat out f*****g wrong, stop making excuses for them. It’s done.”
On her Facebook post, she expounded about the deci- sion to quit her job. “I’ve been struggling very hard for

the past few days to find the words to express how I feel about leaving Platinum Fit- ness,” she wrote in part. “I considered saying nothing at all but I realized that I refuse to stay quiet about some- thing that has not only hurt me to the core but hurts mil- lions every single day. I am the product of an interracial relationship. I have faced the obstacles that come along with this throughout my life. I also choose to LOVE peo- ple for who they are. For their character & their soul, not their outward appear- ance or the color of their skin.”

Venus Williams
And Boyfriend Nicky
Hammond Split Up
Venus Williams and her boyfriend, Nicky Ham- mond, have broken up, Page Six has exclusively learned.
It’s unclear how long the under-the-radar couple were dating, but Hammond was reportedly Venus’ date to her sister Serena Williams’ New Orleans wedding to tech mogul Alexis Ohanian in November 2017.
Hammond — a scion of the Annenberg family for- tune, which once included magazines such as TV Guide and Seventeen — is reportedly 12 years younger than Venus, who turned 39 on June 17.
A source said of the pair, “They dated for two years and have broken up. It’s not be- cause they don’t love each other, they do. They are still friends.”
The source added that Venus is looking for marriage and a family and that the younger Hammond wasn’t

in the same stage.
But another source said
that it had nothing to do with Venus wanting more — and that the relationship just “ran its course.”
Last summer, The Post re- ported the pair were getting serious and that Hammond had presented Venus with a ring — although not of the en- gagement variety, just a “friendship ring.”
Hammond was also seen cheering Venus on at tourna- ments, including the Aus- tralian Open, in the past.
