Sons Of Allen Hosts Retreat In Tampa
   Tampa Businessman Attends Stockholders Meeting
  The Sons of Allen of the 11th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) held their retreat in Tampa last month. The host church was Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 Lowe St., Rev. Dr. Glenn Dames, Pastor. Bishop A. J. Richardson is the Presiding Prelate.
Approximately 300 men were in the city. In addition to participating in their events as a group, the men spread throughout the community connecting with people.
They started the retreat at Foster Elementary School, where they treated the educators to lunch. They attended a leadership luncheon; hosted a panel discussion on mental health and prostate cancer; and served at the local homeless shelter and had Bible study. They also participated in several work- shops.

   Among the women who attended the sessions were: Carolyn Stover and Curtiss Wilson.
