Kodak Black Is Out Of Jail
NYPD Pays Dept.’s Well Known Critic Spike Lee $200K For Ad Campaign
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Kodak Black was released from a Broward County jail on Saturday (August 18), accord- ing to ABC10.
Black, who legally changed his name to Bill K. Kapri and earned his high school equiva- lency diploma while incarcer- ated, spent seven months at the main jail. He was originally scheduled for an October re- lease, but evidently got out a couple of months early.
The 21-year-old reportedly drove away in a black Bentley Bentayga sport utility vehicle with a temporary paper plate. His first stop was his mother’s house where he went to see his son.

Here’s some interesting news about Spike Lee. The famed director, a known critic of police and the NYPD in par- ticular, has received more than $200,000 to help launch a new policing program aimed at improving relations with mi- nority communities — from the NYPD.
It happened in 2016 when the director was tapped to be a consultant for the campaign, a spokesman for the depart- ment’s nonprofit New York City Police Foundation con- firmed Thursday.
The contract with Lee’s ad-

for $219,113 — which was paid for by the Police Foundation, reports the NY Post.
“The Foundation ap- proached and consulted sev- eral creative teams including the Spike DDB agency to help develop a public awareness campaign that would aim to strengthen the partnership be- tween the NYPD and the com- munities it serves,” said spokesman Brady Little- field. “We received tremen- dous input and ideas, and that process ultimately resulted in last spring’s neighborhood policing ad campaign.”

Drake Disses Kanye West During Chicago Concert
CHICAGO, IL – It looks like Drake is still harboring some resentment over Pusha T’s scathing diss track “The Story Of Adidon.” But, instead of taking another shot at the G.O.O.D. Music president, he went at his boss — Mr. Kanye West.
During the Chicago stop of the Aubrey & The Three Ami- gos Tour on Saturday (August 18), Drake swapped a line in “Know Yourself” to say “Then Kanye flopped” instead of “Then Kanye dropped.”
Drake is likely referencing West’s latest solo album, Ye, which was released in June. Although it debuted at

No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 85,000 total album equivalent units in
its first week, it yielded a luke- warm response from fans and critics alike.
On the other hand, Drake’s Scorpion which dropped June 29 and also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — sold roughly 732,000 total album equivalent units in its first week. It not only went plat- inum on the day of its release, but it also remained in the the No. 1 spot for five consecutive weeks.
In addition, it broke nu- merous streaming records, in- cluding Apple Music’s single-day record, which Drake had previously set with 2017’s More Life.
