MRS. MATTIE BELL SHERMAN
A celebration of life serv- ice for Mrs. Mattie Bell Sherman who went home to her Savior on Monday, June 13, 2016 at University Vil- lage Nursing Home will be held on
Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 2 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Rev. David Jones, officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Garden of Memories/Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bell; husband, Lewis Sherman; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; 2 daughters-in- law, Sandra Cargile and Betty Cargile.
Mrs. Sherman leaves to cherish precious memories of her with son, Johnnie C. Cargile (Claribel); 3 grand- children, Kevin C. Cargile and wife, Sonia, Donna Cargile and husband, Ted and Melinda Cooper; 8 great grandchildren; 17 great- great grandchildren; ex- tended family and employer, Bob (Sharon) Blanchard and their chil- dren and grandchildren; de- voted friends, Virginia Heald Johnson and hus- band, Sig and Belinda Williams; a host of cousins, family and friends.
Mrs. Mattie Bell Sherman was born in Rhimes, Geor- gia on October 4, 1928 to the parentage of Mr. and Mrs. Bell. She attended school in Georgia and later moved to Tampa. Mrs. Sherman worked over 30 years with Mr. Bob Blanchard and wife, Sharon and Virginia Johnson and husband Sig.
There will be a viewing on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Wil- son Funeral Home from 5 – 8 p. m. Friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Saturday at ap- proximately 1:45 p. m.

MS. SHIRL LAVEENE BELL
Ms. Shirl Laveene Bell, 53, of Tampa, FL went home to her Lord and Savior on May 30th, 2016.
Shirl was a native of Tampa, born December 21, 1962 to her parents, Jessie Robinson and Elouise Sanders. At age 6, her stepfa- ther moved the family to Parkersburg, WV. After grad- uation, Shirl relocated to Charleston, WV and worked as a receptionist with the hos- pital.
Shirl Bell is preceded in death by: her father, Jessie Robinson, step-father, Ed- ward D. Steel; brother, Ed- ward D. Steel, Jr.; grandmother, Carrie Acker- man; uncle, Bernard Acker- man; and aunt, Connie Jackson.
Shirl’s greatest accom- plishment were her children, Jamie D. Latham, Orlando, Brandon M. L. Latham, Fair- banks, AK., Tyrone A. Bell, and wife, Jessica, Fairbanks, AK, Brittany J. Bell, Tampa, and Sharla N. Bell, Tampa.
Shirl loved to travel, cook, and entertain, especially with her grandchildren, and pride and joy Jeremiah, Jeovanii, Daynesia, and Treasure. Shirl spent every possible moment with them.
Shirl is survived by: her mother, Elouise Steel; her sis- ter, Jacqueline Barnes-Pow- ell; brother-in-law, Darrell Lee Powell; niece, Dionne Powell; two nephews, K’Shaun Powell and Tyele Powell; and long time com- panion of 18 years, James Wilson; her maternal aunts, Jean and Joyce; her maternal uncles, Eugene, Charles, and Robert; and the cousins that she grew up with, Sonya, Gre- gory, Debora, Fred, and Chris.
Services will take place at 2 p. m. Wednesday, June 22nd at Florida Mortuary, 4601 N. Nebraska Ave. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.
BISHOP ALTO BLANDING, SR.
Bishop Alto Blanding, Sr. was born April 20, 1952 to the late James Archie Blanding and Maxine Carnell Blanding in Arcadia, Florida.
He attended Smith Brown Elementary and Desoto High School, later graduating from Missile Batallion School while serving in the U. S. Army in Germany.
During this time, he met and married Beverly Ann Price, affectionately known as “Sugar.” They were mar- ried on April 30, 1971, which he leaves to cherish his mem- ory.
Also leaving to cherish his memories are: his three chil- dren, Alto Blanding, Jr., Alton Blanding, and Altina Dozier (Brian). He leaves be- hind his 15 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Richard E. Bland- ing (Gloria), Anthony R. Blanding, Calvin Morrison (Vonda); 3 sisters, Alfreda Blanding, Juanita Washing- ton (Reginald), and Maxine; sisters-in- law, Pricilla Pow- ell, Harriet Hope, Marietta Powell, Shirley Ann Revere; 6 godchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, pastors, associate pastors and mentees.
In 1979 to the present, Bishop Alto Blanding started pastoring True Holiness Church of The Living God in Punta Gorda, Florida, also pastoring in Arcadia, Miami, Immokalee, Tampa and Ft. Myers throughout the years.
Bishop Blanding attended Baptist Seminary School and True Light Bible School, re- ceiving his Honorary Doctor- ate degree, and then founded True Holiness Christian Academy. Bishop was an en- trepreneur and excelled in many areas of business, in- cluding B. I. G. - Blanding In- ternational Group, Blanding Bail Bonds, True Holiness Child Care, and True Holi- ness Give Ministry.
Bishop Blanding will for- ever be remembered for the impact, council, fathership, and leadership in the lives of everyone he encountered. He was a true warrior for Christ.
The Wake Service is Fri- day, June 17, 2016 beginning at 6 p. m. at True Holiness Church, 326 E. Charlotte Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
Bishop Blanding’s Home- going Service will be held Sat- urday, June 18, 2016, 10 a. m. at the Deep Creek Commu- nity Church, 1500 Cooper Street, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
