RAY WILLIAMS
MR. ALONZO PEOPLES, SR.
Mr. Alonzo Peoples, Sr. of Tampa, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Satur- day, March 7 at 12 Noon at Mount Olive AME Church, 1902 W. LaSalle Street, Tampa, Rev- erend Gregory V. Gay, Sr., Pas- tor, with Elder Milton Peoples, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Alonzo Peoples, Sr. was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. He was edu- cated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. Mr. Peoples was employed by Mac Papers for 29 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Tawanda Peo- ples; daughter, April Peoples; two sons, Alonzo Peoples, Jr., and Devonte Hackney; four grandchildren, Treasure, Trin- ity, Alana and Jaylynn; mother, Minnie Peoples; mother-in-law, Marie M. Williams; brother, Mil- ton Peoples, Jr. and wife, Gloria; two sisters, Linda Partin and Ar- latha Overstreet; two sisters-in- law, Gladys Edwards and Sandra Simpson; brother-in-law, Her- man Munn, Jr. and wife, Dale; six nephews, Milton Peoples, III, Terrance Peoples, Aaron Peo- ples, Samuel Partin, Steven Partin and Walter F. Overstreet, III; two nieces, Michelle Peoples and Amber Overstreet; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and a host of dear and wonderful friends, Wilmon Reddick, Charlie Davis, Nathaniel Hornsby, Darryl May- nard, Harram Temple #23, co- workers and many more friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, March 6, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p. m.

MRS. JENNIFER RENE’ ANDREWS CONNELLY
Mrs. Jennifer Rene’ Andrews Connelly’s Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mt. Olive M. B. Church, 4008 E. Cayuga Street, Tampa, Florida, on Satur- day, March 7, 2020, at 11 a. m., with Rev. Michael V. White, Pas- tor, officiating, and Deacon Robert D. Connelly, eulogist. In- terment will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020, at 11:30 a. m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bush- nell, Florida.
Mrs. Jennifer Rene’ Andrews Connelly was born on May 29, 1960, in Apopka, FL. She was the daughter of Hannah Dixon-An- drews and Herbert Andrews, Sr., who preceded her in death. She became a Christian at an early age and has been an active member of the music ministry at the churches she attended, including New Hope M. B. Church (Apopka, FL), New Way Fellowship Praise and Worship Center, (Miami, FL) and Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church (Tampa, FL).
Jennifer as naturally gifted to sing. She sang in a gospel trio with her mother, Hannah and her sis- ter, Martha and was a member of the USF Gospel Choir. She was also a member of the Sarcoidosis Support Group of Tampa.
She attended Orange County Public Schools at Phyllis Wheat- ley Elementary and graduated from Apopka Memorial High School (1978). She attended Va- lencia Community College (Or- lando, FL) for a few years and later transferred to the University of South Florida, where she grad- uated in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. She met Robert (Bob) Connelly while attending USF. They were mar- ried by Rev Dr. C. P. Epps at Mt. Olive M. B. Church in 1989. Mrs. Jennifer Rene’ Andrews Connelly’s sun set on February 25, 2020.
She was preceded in death by: siblings, Albert Lee (Rochester, NY), Martha Woods-Armstrong (Apopka, FL), Herbert, Jr. (Apopka, FL) and Lorenzo An- drews (Rochester, NY).
Mrs. Connelly leaves to cher- ish memories of her with: devoted husband, Robert (Bob) Con- nelly of over 30 years; daughter, Janay; son, Robert (BJ) Connelly, II; three sisters, Betty Bailey (Miami, FL), Dorothy Norman (Rochester, NY), and Valerie An- drews (Miami, FL); in-laws, Edi- son Taylor (Sandy), Enterprise, AL, Mary Mighty (Rupert), Clewiston, FL, Ursula Foster (Pedro), Karen Caswell (Marvin), Terence Connelly, all of Leesburg, FL, Murphy Connelly, Jr. (Zeb- bie), Donald Connelly of Okahumpka, FL and Darlene Wil- son (Matthew), Valrico FL.
She also leaves: her beloved godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
The visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida on Fri- day, March 6, 2020, from 5 to 8 p. m., with the family present to re- ceive friends from 7- 8 p.m. in the chapel.
Friends are asked to assemble at the church at approximately 10:45 a. m. Saturday for the serv- ice.

SISTER CAROLYN PATRICIA GILBERT
A Homegoing Celebration of Love for Sister Carolyn Patricia Gilbert, who passed on February 25, 2020, will be held on Satur- day, March 7, 2020 at 2 p. m. at Life In Christ Community Church, 9706 N. 26th Street, Tampa, Florida, Pastor Arthur Randall, with Dr. Anthony L. Rivers, officiating, and Pastor Fred L. Gilbert, eulogist. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Sister Carolyn Patricia Gilbert was born on September 3, 1953 to the parentage of Nellie Mae Clemons, Joseph Tramel and loving step-father, Gaines Dancil “Dad,” in Tampa, Florida.
She was educated in the pub- lic schools of New York during her elementary years. Ms. Gilbert later graduated from Robinson High School, Class of 1973. She was employed with Pan America for 18 years and later re- tired from K-Mart after 20 years of service. Carolyn was a devoted member of Life In Christ Com- munity Church until her demise.
Carolyn was preceded in death by: her parents, Nellie Mae Clemons, Joseph Tramel and Gaines Dancil; sister, Betty Rivers; brothers, Johnnie Clemons and Floyd Rivers, Jr.; 4 aunts; 3 uncles and special friend, Forrest Heller.
Sister Gilbert leaves to cher- ish loving memories with: sons, Demetrick Gilbert (Lakeycia), Denario Gilbert and Anthony Rivers (Colleen) of Galloway, OH; 5 grandchildren, Demetria Gilbert, D’Nae Gilbert, D’Jon Gilbert, Diamond Gilbert and Dream Gilbert; 2 great grandson, Robert and Ryan Thomas; sis- ters, Gwendolyn Rivers (Robert) and Annie Thorton; brothers, Pastor Fred L. Gilbert (Mar- guerite) of Mansfield, OH, Larry Rivers, Sr. and Reginald Clemons; one devoted and loving aunt, Barbara Grant of Bronx, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Mrs. Violeta Lariez Latson of Tampa, passed away, Saturday, February 29, 2020. Funeral Serv- ices will be conducted Saturday, March 7, at 12 Noon at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1203 N. Nebraska Avenue, with FR. Theobald Weria, Presiding. En- tombment will follow in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Violeta Latson was a na- tive of Tampa, born to Jorge Lar- iez and Adelaide Pinet. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a 1948 graduate of Middleton H. S., where she was crowned the first “Ms. Jabberwock.” Violeta worked as a salon owner operator in the West Tampa Community for over 75 years.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Louis; sis- ters, Rosa Lariez, Hortensia or Hydrangea Gil (Raul), Dahlia Johnson and Margarita King or Daisy, (Joe); and brothers, Oscar, Alfredo and Roberto Lariez.
She leaves to cherish her memory and felt honored that the Lord gave her an opportunity to be a mother to her loving chil- dren, Michael Latson (Alliene), Sonjia (Perry Little), Marlina (Fred McClure) and Donald Lat- son (the late Cheryl); like a son, James Ransom (Janet); like a daughter, Gail Williams; Abuela to: Keil Moore, Darion Latson (Elodie), Brianna Latson, Josie Little, Jade Latson, Matthew Little (Nandie) and Marissa Mitchell; Bisabuela to: Ariah and Alayna Latson, Reigan, Ivy and Eden Lit- tle; Tia’ to: Ruben Milanes, II, Veronica Hamilton, Angela Hen- dricks (Warren), Raul Gil, Jr., De- rick Syres, Monique Milanes, Ruben Milanes, III, Laverne Lat- son, Rosalynn McGill, Sandra Norman, Robert Latson, Debra Latson, Kelly Williams, Stephanie Carmichael, Charles Knowles, Thelma and Sheila Brown, Minette, Tracy and Jodie Latson and Linda Ruth Gillins; her dear cousins, Clara (Chow) Milbry, Mercedes Rosa Hanes, Leroy Chow (Lorene), William Chow, Marion Arnao Anderson (Nolan) Angelique Arnao-Basean, Nicky Arnao Massey, Virgina Arnao, Pamela and Marissa Chow, Jerry and Diana Blanco Bell, Estella Blanco and Danelia Stewart; she also leaves behind a host of other relatives, friends and customers who will miss her, but will carry her with them in their hearts.
