Offensive Coordinator:
'I Feel Sick To My Stomach' When Jameis Winston Dives
Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Jameis Win- ston won't make any promises that he'll stop diving toward the end zone.
"There are better ways to get in the end zone, but I'm never going to stop trying to com- pete," the Tampa Bay Bucca- neers’ rookie quarterback said Wednesday. "I am going to de- velop some smarter habits. But as of now, it's still a process. I've got to get better every day."

Winston went airborne near the goal line with about a minute left in the fourth quar- ter of the Bucs' victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. He left his feet at the 2-yard line and fumbled before cornerback Tyler Patmon and line- backer Anthony Hitchens hit him. The play was negated because of a de- fensive holding penalty against safety Jeff Heath, allowing Winston to score a go-ahead, 1-yard touchdown run with 54 seconds left.
"Great play by Jameis try- ing to get it in the end zone," Bucs coach Lovie Smith said. "Glad we got another opportu- nity."

tive week Winston made a diving play near the end zone; he did the same on a 10-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter of a loss to the New York Giants. Winston's choice to leave his feet causes tense moments for his coaches.
"I feel sick to my stomach," Bucs offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter said. "There's no question he's willing to do anything. You can never ques- tion Jameis' heart. So from that standpoint -- shoot, I tell Lovie to talk to him about that because he's not listening to me. You can't question his heart, but that is a very dan- gerous play.
"It's dangerous injury [po- tential] to me, No. 1, which would hurt our football team. And second, as many times as you see guys do that, they fum- ble it a lot. So I would rather seehimgolowandtrytogetit across that way. Again, you can't coach every single thing out of these guys. Their in- stincts take over and they're playing football."
Winston has shown a knack for scoring with his feet. He has four rushing touch- downs this season, with one in each of the past three games.

The quarterback signed a
team-friendly deal in 2014 that allows the 49ers to walk away from the 28-year-old Kaeper- nick. His $13.9 million salary for 2016 doesn't become guar- anteed until April 1.

Kaepernick was listed on the team's Week 11 injury re- port as probable with a left shoulder injury. He hurt the shoulder in Week 4, but started the next four games. Kaepernick will have sur- gery on his non-throwing shoulder on either Monday or Tuesday.
The quarterback was benched in Week 9 in favor of Blaine Gabbert. Coach Jim Tomsula said at the time he wanted Kaepernick to take a step back and

LeBron James walked off the court in frustration at bad passes and silly turnovers Sat- urday -- and that was with Cleveland leading by a game- high 26 points in an NBA romp over Atlanta.
The superstar playmaker had 19 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists while Kevin Love had 25 points and 11 re- bounds to spark the Cavaliers, who boosted the best record in the Eastern Conference to 10- 3.
But the most memorable moment in the rout came when James watched Jared Cunningham throw a bad pass out of bounds, then abruptly signaled to be re- placed by a substitute and stormed off the court for a seat on the bench.

Stephen Curry has led his team to a 14-0 start.
Until a couple of games ago, Stephen Curry really hadn't thought much about making more NBA history.
Now, Curry and the Golden State Warriors are right on the cusp of adding another accom- plishment in an incredible year.
Curry scored 27 points and the defending champions moved within one victory of matching the best start in NBA history, holding off the Chicago Bulls 106-94 on Friday night to improve to 14-0.
The league's last undefeated team ran its franchise-record home winning streak to 26 games by beating a Chicago team that is the last to win at Oracle Arena during the regu- lar season, way back in late January. Golden State did so with its third tough game in four nights, too.
Golden State equaled the 1957-58 Celtics as the only de- fending champions to win their initial 14 games. The Warriors are one of five teams in NBA history to begin 14-0, and will travel to Denver looking to keep it going Sunday.
Harrison Barnes added 20 points and nine rebounds for the Warriors in a game featur- ing 18 lead changes and 17 ties.
Jimmy Butler had 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the Bulls in the second game of a four-game road trip.
If Golden State gets by Den- ver to move to 15-0, it will have a chance to break the record Tuesday night back home against the Lakers.
The Washington Capitols in 1948-49 and Houston Rockets in '93-94 are the other teams to start 15-0.
Saul Alvarez Is WBC Middleweight Champion
Saul Alvarez (left) got an unanimous decision over Miquel Cotto.
The partisan crowd of 11,274 felt their native son, Saúl Ál- varez of Mexico, known as Canelo, was going to deliver an emphatic victory over Miguel Cotto, his rival from Puerto Rico, for the W.B. C. middleweight championship.
Sure enough, Álvarez deliv- ered, winning a unanimous 12- round decision to secure the W.B.C. middleweight title. Ál- varez won by scores of 117-11, 119-109 and 118-110 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Saturday night.

On one sideline stood No. 3 Ohio State, defending national champion, winner of 23 con- secutive games and 30 consec- utive Big Ten regular-season games, at home before an an- nounced crowd of 108,975, the most in the history of Ohio Stadium.
On the other sideline stood No. 9 Michigan State, which not only had to face the mighty Buckeyes in their beloved HorseshoeNo. 9 Michigan State beat #2 Ohio State 17-14 Saturday.

State was the more physical team, the more poised team and the team with a better game plan.
Michigan State junior Michael Geiger kicked a 41- yard field goal through the wind and rain with no time on the clock to break a 14-14 tie and silence Ohio Stadium.
