As Hurricane Dorian’s devastation lingers in the Ba- hamas, the island chain con- tinues to need necessities and money for rebuilding.
After the initial push of donations many are looking to continue the effort to re- store the beloved islands. To add to the misery of the is- land’s devastation, meteo- rologists say that the Bahamas is in line for an- other tropical storm this sea- son.
The Bahamian govern- ment is requesting money, as the most important donation so they can coordinate infra- structure projects to aid re- building and restoring power, along with feeding and housing displaced citi- zens.
Although the Bahamian government desperately needs money, there are non- monetary goods that are needed as well: tarps, water, canned goods, Meals Ready to Eat (MRE), hygiene kits, first aid kits, diapers, trash bags, mosquito repel-
lent, bleach, chlorine tablets, non-perishable dry goods, and clean up supplies such as mops, buckets, towels and tow- elettes.
